Door pin Possessed
Hi all...
When I locked & unlocked my car today via remote the door pin just went crazy.
It bounces up & down a few times every time I try to lock/unlock.
Tried playing with it locking/unlocking and sometimes the door don't open.
I can't even push/pull the pin manually.
When it is locked the pin does not go down like the rest.
Anybody with the same problem??
Does this mean I have to remove the door panel?
This should be simple enough( I hope) that any shop can do right?
Thanks..

Yup. Mine started the Pogo about a week ago. Drives me nuts. It still locks and unlocks most of the time, but it is starting to fail on occasion. I found my car unlocked last night after pushing the lock button when I walked away. This sucks because it is a very painful DIY or a very expensive dealer fix. Sure looks to be the actuator to me.

Bought the actuator for $109 shipped from mercedesshop.com
Labor cost est. from 'The Tire Choice & Total Car Care' is $279 @ $90/hr
Also had some other Labor only cost estimates:
Front Strut & shocks $288
Rear shocks/struts $162
Fuel filter parts & labor $179
Full synthetic oil change $59.99

Although I have the actuator I still have to prioritize my finances.
Food,Gas,&/or car repairs. I even have eibach springs I need installed too. I was going to buy new shocks until actuator started acting up.
Anybody out there with a million bucks to spare?...
