What is a reasonable fendergap?

Ok. So I have this Benz C240 '02 as you can see in the following picture.

As you can see the gap at the front wheels is MUCH bigger than the gap at the rear wheels. So, is this normal?

The wheels are 18" and everything is stock.

If this is normal, can you suggest any products for lowering the front of the car to be like the rear?

PS.
No I don't have a dead body in the trunk.

That looks to me like maybe something is wrong with your suspension?! Really weird. And I'm not like some of these guys who think your car should be an eighth of an inch off of the road I think the stock sport suspension from 2005+ is a perfect height. I really don't even mind the higher lux suspension. Getting in and out of a car (for me) feels more uncomfortable the lower it is to the ground. But to each his own.

Yeah, I was thinking that too. But I took the car in for a mandatory inspection yesterday, where they check for "important broken things" including the suspension, so I don't think there's anything wrong with it. But I'm gonna take it to a Benz technician and let him have a look at it.

Not to ask the obvious, but, are you sure your parking area is 100% level? That's a pretty big variation - even more than my wagon. Even a small crown in the parking area can make a noticable difference in fender gap....

That's a really good point. Theres a parking spot infront of my house and whenever someone parks there the front fender gap is HUGE.

I don't ever measure fender gap unless I'm in a warehouse or garage bay, or some similar type of place where I know the concrete floor will be as close to flat as you can reasonably expect.

I don't know if that's the case here or not, but it's worth mentioning...

Wow, that gap looks even larger than my 4Matic w/o lowering.

Heh, yup. The parking area on that picture isn't level but the gap remains the same on 100% level area.

That's definitely not right for a 240. The rear looks like the height for an 05+ SS, while the front looks far greater than the height of any 4Matic I've ever seen? Questions: how many miles on the car? Has any suspension work ever been done say at Midas/Mineke, or any of those places? They may have put on new replacement struts for the wrong model C class (eg: 320 vs 230, 4Matic vs normal) or they could have used crap aftermarket struts. Definitely something wrong here.

The car was imported to Iceland in 2006 and has only been serviced by the dealer since then, the oil changes being an exception.

I've only had the car for about 2 months and judging from the sales pictures it was like that at least 6 months ago.

I think it's more than a body if it's that low. Maybe there's bricks already tied to the body?

Ok, went to take pictures on 100% level ground, inside the garage. Also took one of the front suspension. I don't have much knowledge of these things... if any. So if anyone notices anything radically wrong with it, please let me know

I measured it up too.
The car is 21cm from the ground in the front.
The car is 20cm from the ground in the rear, measured at the sideskirt.

From top of the front rim to the wheel well it's 15cm.
From top of the rear rim to the wheel well it's 10cm.

So it's 5cm difference. In my opinion the rear wheel gap looks normal so there's something wrong with the front one.

Before I got rid of my car, I had a similar issue. The rear looked almost dropped and the front had a HUGE wheel gap. Kev can confirm this. Then again, my control arms and some other suspension parts were broken so I figured that explained it. I found that out when I took it in for an alignment. Goodluck figuring out the problem if there even is one.

I say normal.

Take my car for instance, I have heard that the ones that came to Canada had more fender gap compared to the ones in Europe Any one heard that before? So I am guessing maybe yours is just one of those that were made to have more fender gap.

I would say it's normal
look at the two pictures below
first is when my car is stock
second is stock suspension with 18" wheels
The gap is just huge for non-sport c class
