Anyone notice the similarity of these wheels with the Moda R6s?

Is this what they are a copy of maybe?

Anyone notice the similarity between the Moda and MKB wheels and the classic Ferrari 5 spokes? If you are going to copy something, Ferrari is probably the best.

mkb is starting to make their own bodykit?...eww

although they have good reputation for tuning AMGs, they sure don't have taste for bodykit nor good looking wheels.

Ya, 5 spokes make me happy. I don't particularly like Ferraris (what was that Charlie Sheen said in that old auto theft movie? something like Italian crap, I only steal Porches?) but they are beautiful works of art.

That would be kinda dangerous ;-)

Did you get your wheels ok? I ended up having to pay about 100 bucks for shipping, but I wasn't using them anyway.

I noticed in an old thread that you allready had C7 wheels, why another set?

Harpax, do the Moda's have a lip on the outside for attaching weights? I know a lot of people don't like weights on the outside lip, but I like to have them balanced that way if possible.

No lip that I can tell.

My weights are the stick on type on the car side of the wheel.

Those are nice! The brakes sure do look small with those 18's though.
Have you had any trouble balancing them with just the stick on weights?

Thanks!

Ya, those rotors are too small. Wouldn't mind replacing them some day. And getting rid of the extra heat shielding (?) crap and stuff that always rusts.

No trouble with the weights as they are located so that the centrifugal force of the wheel spinning is pushing them down.

Hard for me to find a good way to explain exactly where they are located so I'll just take another pic ;-)

Ok, now that I look at these on the screen they aren't very clear but maybe you can make them out.

The first pic I heald the camera on the inside (car side) of the wheel.

The second one is from the outside:

If you get them balanced at a place with the right equipment, there should be no problem. The new machines are made to do it this way if you tell them to. You tell the machine where the spokes are and it tells you where to put the weight so it is hiding behind the spokes and so it still balances out right.
