Considering buying '05 C230K 6-sp
Hi, just joined this awesome forum.
I'm learning that an '05 C230K in manual trans is a pretty difficult find.
I've found a rather rare orion blue one in manual trans.
The dealer provides a carfax report and of the things that are reported (who knows about what's NOT reported), there seem to be too many repairs performed already for such a "new" and low mileage car. This has me concerned.

04/01/2006 Stabilizer bar bushings replaced
11/24/2006 Oil level sensor replaced
01/13/2007 Rack and pinion replaced
03/24/2007 Steering damper replaced
Are the above repairs considered normal? Rack and pinion? Steering damper? Did the owner take it to the race track regularly or something?
06/01/2007 Sold at auction (30,021 miles) in Florida Listed as a dealer vehicle
05/2008 - it's almost a year later and this car has 5000 more miles. What might the dealer have used this car for? 5000 miles in one year seems very low and since it's a manual, being a courtesy car is out of the question...
If this car is to be avoided, I'll do just that and continue looking... thanks in advance for any advice!

I picked up the same car about a month ago, Orion Blue with a 6 spd. Lovin every minute of it so far.
Sorry I can't answer any of your questions but just thought I'd comment since you're right, there aren't many Orion Blue Manuals out there, but I can vouch there is at least 1 more.
