Can you identify the CAM Sensor Wire / Isolating wire?

Is it installed here or not?

Supposed to be MB Part No - 271-150-27-33. Does it replace the original wire or is it just an extension you add to the original wire?

Its hard to tell, since both the harness and wire have the same connector, yet judging by the length of the cable coming from the connector, I'd have to say no.

I second that. If it were installed, it would be zip-tied up and to the side of the sensors.

Thanks for your replies.

I'm still confused as to what this wire is...

Does it replace the original wire going into the harness or is it just an extension you add to the original wire?

Think of it as an 'extension cord' like for a household lamp. It has plugs at both ends that accepts the current connector that's on the sensor now and then plugs into the sensor.

You don't have them in that picture as there would be extra connectors showing and a loop of wire held in place with a zip-tie.

You don't have it, and looks like some oil in and around there.
The cable is about 6" long and is a small extention cord so to speak.
It's tie wrapped in such a way that the oil might run to the extention.

I'll see if I can snap a pic since I'm working on my car today and this is visible.

EDIT- See attached.
Connector where my finger is where the engine harness connects to the extension. The green label is the pn label for the extension.

This work was performed in Sacramento; I told them I as getting close to the end of the warranty, could they please give it a good look over?
I didn't ask for this and wasn't even aware this was done till all the threads here
caused me to check. Bless there hearts.
