finished my 55 airbox

finally got around to finish how I want the airbox to look. The decal may or may not be familiar with some.... thinking about the 55 front cover or custom one...not sure yet.

p.s. 32 airbox still for sale

Sorry, Frank. You've done some really nice stuff before but this is just a bit too over the top for me.

the stock c32 airbox looks better to me.. maybe because it covered more of the supercharger?

edit: didn't see the comment about the front cover.. go for it, it looks sweet!

ps: what does the decal mean?

over the top FTW! it's for myself anyway...it's for kicks and giggles...until i find the right size of the actual "decal" i want to put on there.

decal is from my one of my favorite animated series, Gundam. the bad guy logo.

no front cover yet. didn't buy it. might just leave it along like this or custom something.

Frank, since you’ve driven with ‘em for a while, I’d appreciate you sharing some insight por favor.

Do they:
Provide a worthwhile ROI performance improvement?
Increase untoward part-throttle noise?
Necessitate overly-challenging custom fabrication?

I’m in queue for a LET tune, but only after the last of its hardware upgrades are finalized. TIA.

John,

this makes more difference up top in the rev range when you are crusing on the freeway going 80+. you can feel the car pulls easier at that speed than before. At low speed it doesn't feel that much different than my previous gutted intake resonator, green filter, and y-splitter. it's pretty easy to install..just trim the metal clips from under the 55 airbox and on it goes. only drawback is the front cover needs to be customized which i haven't done so. sound wise i can't really tell from my previous setup.

i took off the vinyls btw.

How does BMC compare to Green? A noticeable difference? I hear K&N are too porous and am curious what made you make this selection.

it does. you just need to add the extension from the TB to the splitter. check MJ50's thread or ask kcheng about it.
