Check engine light @ W.O.T

this is my car c240, cls500 rims, cross drilled/slotted rotors all 4, amg front bumper, projector fog lights and headlamps.

So My problem started a week ago. I had a check engine light come on. It read random muiltiple misfire, and misfire on certain cylinders. So i change the spark plugs they look bad. After that the check engine light went off by its self. I drove the car and on W.O.T. the engine light cam back on with the same codes and sommething about the Maf Air meter. It started puttering and running on a couple cylinders as it was misfire from muiltiple cyclinders. I had to remove the positive cable from the battery and reset the ecu and then it started to run fine , After a while of light driving and trying not to step on the gas hard the engine light went off. If at any time i decide to step on the gas hard the engine light comes back on with the misfire and the car run like **** again. I changed the Maf sensor and it still does the same thing. Im going to change the fuel filter but other than that i have no idea.

Anyone had a similar problem?

Good choice in wheels

Do you have K&N filters? Clean your MAF lately? Where did you buy your MAF. Ebay is known to sell ones that dont work...

how do the plug wires look? i had a similar problem on my focus a few years back- turns out i had slit the insulation in one spot, causing it to arc. the problem only presented itself when i was drive the car hard.

have this problem right now...

However, it is only one cylinder misfiring at a time, and the computer also stores some kind of malfunction with the cat. converter or something.

My mechanic says it might be a faulty cat. converter. Whatever it is, I am looking to figure this problem out...

If i solve it before you ill post.

How would you know if the fuel pump is bad. I put some lucas fuel treament and it seems to run fine and @ WOT i don't get the check engine light of misfire on cyc 6.

But... it the morning of start ups when i step on the gas the car hesitates and sometime bucks , like its not spraying fuel. then it stops after a good warm up. it idles a little rough. but no check engine light comes on.

Anyone had this problem.

thinking its the fuel pump or coils???????????

Please help
