km per full tank
how many km / miles are people getting per tank.
my c240 shows that i am driving in the range of 17-25 litres/100 km. i just recently bought the car......i got less than 420 km for my first tank. it's a manual car, but i am not at all aggressive with it. i know that it had the fuel pump changed a year ago.
what do y'all think?
thanks,
felix

I get as much as 500km per tank, but more realistically, I have to tank up every 350kms, cuz I have to put up with morning rush hour traffic to school.
Calculate your fuel economy by hand. Go from full tank to full tank, and divide the amount of your fillup by your kms travelled/100
example: 50 litres / 3 (for 300 km) gets u 16L / 100km

edit: i usually get fuel economy in the range of 10.2 to 11 L / 100km
its muhc higher in the winter.
as for the on board computer fuel economy read-out,
...if you warm up your car in the morning before you drive out, it seriously messes up the fuel economy calculation because you're not moving.

POKERface, i live in Toronto also. you claim that you usually get 10-11 litres/100 km.......however, with a 57 litre tank, that should take you >600 km....
does your monitor show 10-11 litres/100 km on a consistent basis.
my monitor usually shows 25-26 litres/100 km for the first few km (I don't warm up the bar, BTW), and gradually moves down to 17-18 l/100 km (over a 20 minute period). are you finding that the same is true for you???
thanks again.
