2003 C320 cooled compartment?
Hi guys,
I have a 2003 C320 (US) and according to the manual, it has a ventilated storage space in the center console under the armrest. I can't find the vent or anything at all. Does anyone know where I should look? Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

I was wondering about that too. I have two levers on the console. One opens just the top part, a very shallow space. The other opens the whole thing to expose a cooled box which I think feeds the rear outlets. I don't see any space there worth talking about to put anything. Also, is the glove box cooled?
Next day: Took a closer look. There is no vent and no levers in the console. M C320 has the automatic climate control. Wonder if that makes a difference?

2003 Mercedes C320
In the bottom compartment (the "big" one) in my center console, there is some big box thing with a large metal wire attached and it has some kind of picture with a red warning sign on it. Any idea what that is? Also, I still can't find the vent

on c320 cars, there is a blower motor sitting in the lower center console compartment to force air to the rear passengers. This blower speed is regulated via dial on rear vents. c320 center console compartment is very small due to this reason and space is limited to store anything in there. It is cooled however with tiny vents that blow very little air in there but it's good enough to keep your candy bar from melting.

Yeah, it's just about big enough for a candy bar. A small one! What's up with such an expensive car with practically no room in the console and useless cup holders?

I agree with that, but there are obviously times, like when parked, that you would apreciate a decent cup-holder. I have always said the Benz is first about the driving.
