US COMAND in Europe

I'm after the same solution (changing my US Nav system with a European one) and I want to know if you had the same model.

Yes, although this was not only original rear entrtainment system.
Comand APS NTG2 works well only be able to take care of such is back up camera .
NTG2 need +300Eur telefon kit.
Comand APS ntg2 should not be telefon kit have bluetooth, but aplifier not compatibil need to changed !

I was have Sirius SAT radio, phone / VR kit, back up camera kit.Not have original rear entertainment system .

I Had the same problem with my GL. I bought it in US and I have to change the comand for an european one. You wrote that everything works well but did you have to go to Mercedes when changing the comand ? or you just plug it ? Thank you

Sorry, Elbout, but I am not into part numbers myself. I only know that my brother (MBenzNL on this forum) told me that such an adapter cable is needed for the back up camera when swapping the US comand for a Euro spec one.

Specs for used Euro Comand system to replace US MCSII?
Neo - could you tell me the specs to look for in buying a used com and system? We just shipped our 2007 GL 450 to Germany with a MCSII COMAND system, and need to basically do what you did to get a working system. We're much less technically savvy than you all. Appreciate any advice.
