Xenon vs. Bi-xenon
Mercedes advertises that the new C4 Lighting package comes with "Bi-Xenon" headlamps. What is the difference with just the regular tag "Xenon" Headlamps? Which is better?

Bi-Xenon gives you both high-beam and low-beam
Bi-xenon is better. Many people, myself include, think the Bi-xenons are also better looking too. You can see the difference through the lens.

The bi xenon headlight units have 1 xenon bulb (low beam) and 1 standard halogen high beam bulb.
Besides this halogen high beam bulb, the xenon projector has a plate between the reflector and lens that flips over when high beam is activated leaving a bigger opening and thus more xenon light come out of the projector (at a higher level).
The benefit of bi xenon versus regular xenon is only to find in the high beam...and the looks.
greetingz,

well, if you are purchasing a new C-class Bi-Xenon is the only way to go because it's the evolution of the xenon.
like MBenzNL says, the Bi-xenon works just like the original xenon except it has a movable reflector inside the projector lense that will allow more light (higher light) pass through, thus works as high beam.
as for the look, i could care less. Either way works for me.
