i just realize that after months of posting on this forum, i have yet seen a Lime Green C-coupe owner on here.

Why is that? no one like that color or what?

 

if you wanna wait about 4 more weeks i will have mine. it was shipped friday! i love the color personally!

 

I don't think you will find many people willing to order that color without seeing one in person first and I really doubt a dealer will put one on the lot without a buyer.

 

There's a guy in Montréal who posted a few times a few months back who also had one. He had a nice shot of his car from above.

I think that maybe the gone-and-almost-forgotten SoCal240 insulted his colour choice one time too many.

It's a great colour for the car. Ours is red though....

 

SoCal240 may be gone and almost forgotten but im sure he has been reincarnated into another screen name. anyways, i ordered the color without seeing it in person. one of the rare few, but when i did see the color in person i was very glad that i did.

 

my dealer wanted a $5000 non-refundable deposit for my car. they said it was because of the color, but also that i had alot of options on the car without the auto transmission. whatever! i gave them their money, signed the forms stating i realized it was non-refundable and am still waiting!

 

It is a wonder the dealer did not want you to pay in full for the vehicle up front before purchasing it!

 

we'll be waiting to see your car. I think Citron Green is a great color for C-coupe.

 

yeah i was a little shocked. Hoehn Mercedes in Carlsbad said it would only be $500 dollars, but when i went there to place it the order the price jumped. They knew my configuration and said it would only be $500, but for whatever reason the price changed. So I went back to Mercedes-Benz of San Diego. I would have stuck with Hoehn if they wouldnt have raised the price of the deposit. I liked my salesman at MBSD, so he got my buisiness. Oh well! The closer it gets the more anxious i get. I'll post pics Frank. Hey lockbuster, it will probably be easy to spot me driving on the 805 or 163 on my commute to/from work.

 

Yep, BUSTED! HAHAHAHAHA! I wrote that comment above as an ironic tweak in case SoCal240, err I mean MacPhisto was reading this, you know, an attempt to unmask the coward.

In any case, I've seen two of these Citron Green C 230 Ks in Victoria and they are glorious! That dealer ordered one in on spec in 2002 and they recently delivered another one to someone. It truly is a great colour, you will enjoy it for sure.

You are right, you will be easy to spot and I will be looking for you since I drive all over San Diego each day. Remember the California Highway Patrol will see you also and trust me you will be seen!

 

yes im sure they will see me coming from a mile away. i live in university heights and work in sorrento valley so i dont drive really far to and from work and dont drive for my job either. but i do like to cruise to the beach and around town on the weekends. if you see me be sure to honk or wave!!!

 

My silver C230K has my personal license plate for my last name and it has the Euro plate in the front, so it is easy to spot also. I live in the Santee area.

 

cool, my plates should be in anytime now. i ordered them about 4-5 weeks ago!

I'll have to admit, when I was building my car on the MB website before I bought mine, I saw the color chip with the Citron shade and I was appalled. I thought, who in their right minds would EVER buy that color??? The color chip online doesn't do justice to the metallic shade that it actually appears to be in photos.

I still haven't seen one in person, but I would love to. I have to say that the photos of cars with that color that I have seen look beautiful. The shape and curves of the car combined with the color are very unique and exotic, and look like it would really look nice.

On the down side, it looks a lot like that sick pastel green color on the new VW Beetles that I hate. Please tell me it's not!!

No insult to the new beetles, just that color....the color is okay in itself, but on that particular car it looks kinda....oh.....pea soup-ish???

 

I saw a Citron coupe just today on Scottsdale Road. My first ever sighting of one in person... it looked excellent! If that person is on this forum, speak up:p

 

lol "pea soup-ish"... Green is okay, but not the color i would get. Vapor blue was the coolest color in 2001.

 

I saw a Citron C230 leaving the parking garage at Fashion Valley tonight; did you get your car? The color was cool, but my wife wasn't impressed. She said it wouldn't look right on the sedan.

 

Makes me crave lime lifesavers.

i like vapor as well. my NB is batik blue. i liked that color cause it was purple when its sunny and dark blue when its cloudy and sometimes looks black. i was tired of trying to keep it clean though!

nope, not me yet. if thats the same one ive seen its a 02 without the C7. the only one ive seen in SD. they go to MBSD for service and ive seen them driving around mira mesa area twice. i hate waiting!!!!!!!

 

There are a few of these "limes" here in Calgary.

I used to see one almost daily on the way from work. I do like the colour, but keep it nice and clean, the lime-green looses a lot when it's dusty.

 

When I see that picture from MB Italy all I can think is, "YOU'RE GETTING FINGERPRINTS ON THE SUNROOF"
