No, it's closer to chrome finish depending on how good they are polished. The good thing is that you can always polish them up yourself at any time to get that shine. Chrome is just an extra plating added to the wheel that adds extra weight and cannot be fixed if your significant other happens to curb them.

Exactly. ~17 sets of these wheels sprinkled throughout N. America and nobody can get another set unless they setup another group buy. That probably won't happen again since the people who really want them are buying them now!
