what if I push the fenders out a little, stretch the tires, and add a small spacer? will there be enough room or are my dreams shot?

I want to accomplish this concave look all the way around, but 18" and on a W203 of course.....

You're problem with +35 offset is going to be inside and outside wheel well. With 9.5 +35 it's going to eat up the tires on the fender and against the strut. With the concave look or a lot of lip, it doesn't come down to the width of the wheel, it's offset.

You can create that look with 8.5. You just need to get a lower offset. Hell you can get that look with 8" plus it'll give you space where you might not have to pull the fenders, maybe just rolling them. You can lower on the offset like +15 on 18x8 and achieve the concave look. With wider wheels you need less offset to get more concave or lip. With less wider wheels you need an offset closer to 0. That's why you'll see civics with stretch tires on 16x7 with +5 offset or something to get a good lip.

Even my old cls wheels had a slight concave look and they where 18x8.5 +28 18x9.5 +33

So you can probably do 18x8.5 +25 18x9.5 +28 and have pretty concave wheels, but it also has to do with the Wheels you buy. Some are designed to be concave like the VMR wheels.

Hi guys, I got these, C55 lowered on H&R springs

F - 18x8 +32

R - 18x9 +40

Front barely won't clear calipers, so I'm trying to find out what size spacers to get for both front and rear, trying to bring them just at the fender for some stance

I was thinking 12mm in the front and 15mm in the rear, what do you guys think? Usually people run 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 so the 12.7mm difference is throwing me off in terms of what size spacer I should run for stance. For instance, if someone who runs 18x9.5 +35 in the rear runs a 10mm spacer spacer in the back for a +25 rear offset, should I run a way bigger spacer with my bigger offset and thinner wheel?

since it's only 18x8 and 18x9 those will be good size spacers to get it flushed with the body. Just be careful with the rears depending on the tires your running.

thank you for the quick response so early in the morning phister

above edit: "Usually people run 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 so the 12.7mm difference is throwing me off in terms of what size spacer I should run for stance. For instance, if someone who runs 18x9.5 +35 in the rear runs a 10mm spacer spacer in the back for a +25 rear offset, then I run a way bigger spacer with not only my larger offset to worry about but also a thinner wheel, right?"

indeed, the fact that i'm running a .5 thinner wheel sort of throws me off a bit. i've been looking through the mbworld forums all day trying to get an idea of what would be good haha. i'm usually just a lurker so i'd just wanna take the opportunity to say i've always liked how your car sits! thanks for your time

edit: rear tires are hankook evo v12s, 245/35

front same - 225/40

You're correct. If you have a wider wheel you won't need that low of an offset to get it flushed since you have so much wheel. With a less wider wheel you'll need a lower offset to get it to sit flushed. You're 0.5 is not that much of a difference to the 8.5 & 9.5. So you're setup compared to others isn't that off. You'll just be able to get away with a couple more mm on your spacers.

I'm assuming your cars lowered, hopefully you rolled and pulled the fenders and grinded the rear bumper tabs down.

Ya you're offsets are pretty high still even how wide your wheels are. Your wheels have a high face disk to clear the calipers.

Yea my CCWs are low face so they'll never clear the calipers and require spacers

Nice c55 greekspec. I like the wheels, but personally not a fan of stretch tires.

I ended up running a V3/high disk front and a V2/low disk rear for faces/centers and then picked my barrels from there

If you have the sport model with the larger calipers you might. Just depends on design of the wheels. Test fit them on the front and you'll know if you do or not. I'd do 225/40/18 or 235/40/18 if you want a smoother ride.

do you want to look more flusher maybe add 5 - 10 mm spacer will be a great idea, if you feel the front wheels gap higher than the rear wheels you can cut 1/2 coil for the front spring, it will still comfortable & safe just be sure to paint the spring to prevent it from corrosion
