I own a 2007 C230 Sport and I am considering the purshase of new wheels for an unstaggered look. This will allow me to rotate my tires. I want to get 19x8.5 all around with 235/35 tires.
Now, my only concern is with the offset of the wheels. What would be the correct offset for the front and rear wheels be in order to clear the calipers and avoid hitting the fenders. I would like to do all this without any spacers if at all possible.

There is a set or rims going cheap near where I live.
Im just wondering what peoples opinions of them are. They are Silver MRR GT7 rims same as the photo. I would have liked the Matt Black version, but the price is too good to let go. Might spray them in matt black later down the track when I have money.

Rears: 18x9.5 +35
PCD: 5x112
Colour: Hyper Silver

Will they fit? The centre bore is 66.6mm Just wondering about anything else that would affect fitment. I checked all the specs and data I could find on this forum and they should be fine right? I don't have any other after-market modifications.... yet....

They'll fit, depending if you have the ss model with the larger calipers you might need a spacer but on the design it looks like it'll clear.

Fyi just buy some plastidip if you want a cheap matte black look. Easy to apply and remove but protects well. Can buy at Lowes or any hardware store

yea plastidip is the new vinyl wrap kind of, have guys plastidipping their whole car. its easy to peel off.

In the 5x112 bolt pattern they only come in 18x8.5 et42 and 18x9.5 et 45. Since I have C63 wheels now, I'm already using 15mm spacers front and rear. Those would bring down the offset to 27mm and 30mm. I wouldn't really want the fronts out much more than they are now, but I could live with the rears being out more. My main concern is whether they will clear my CLK63 brakes. Any insight on that? Here's what my car looks like now with the C63s:

I was told by a mechanic not to have different size tires/rims on my c240 4matic. .I have +35 offset rims and need about 38mm spacers in the back to become flush with the fenders. The front is already flush. Any problems with this??? Will anything bad come from the spacers?

There shouldn't be a problem with that. The reason you're not supposed to run different size tires on a 4MATIC is because if the diameters are different, each axle will be turning at different speeds and damage the transfer case. As long as the tires are the same size, the changing the track width won't do anything to hurt the system.

I was just told again not to get spacers since it will mess with my differential....

its not going to mess it up. if that was the case audi guys wouldnt do staggered fitments and all wheel drive cars wouldnt change wheels. you can use spacers it doesnt affect anything except your wheel offset.

Phister, what the difference between 4matic and base struts and shocks?

since its 4matic the struts had to be designed differently to allow room for the front diff and axle. thats why the sways on base can not fit the 4matics. theres only a couple of companies that sell springs and c/o for 4matics.

I actually need new struts and shocks my car bounces like crazy. So my dad was actually gonna buy those and i would just get the H&R lowering springs

buying new struts/shocks then lowering the car is going to just make the struts/shock wear out quicker. once you lower the car, the pistons in the struts/shock is goin to be compressed constantly since the car is lower so it doesnt allow for full travel when driving causing them to wear out faster.

i would look for aftermarket struts like from Koni, KYB, or Bilstein which are designed for lower springs. An added bonus on the some aftermarket like the Koni yellow where you can adjust the dampening to adjust for a smoother ride or a stiffer sportier ride.

I just made an inquiry to a wheel shop about rims, they said that I would need to perform some guard work to get 9.5" rims to fit the rear.
How right are they?
I found a huge list of sizes and offsets for the w203 and 9.5 was listed. :/ super confused now.

9.5 will fit fine just depends on the offset. if you dont want to roll any fenders or anything dont go lower than +33 offset.

Thanks, thats what I thought, I'm going to get the rears with a +35 so that there is no chance of rubbing.

Bilstein doesn't make any for my car.
KYB doesn't have anything in the catalog for my car
And Koni doesn't either LOL

I think I have decided on the wheels I want, but I could use some advice regarding which tire size will fit properly. They will be going on a 2007 c230 sport.

The front wheels are 18 X 8.5", 32 mm offset
Rears are 18 X 9.5", 35 mm offset

I'd like to run the widest tires possible without rubbing. Can I fit 245/35 on the front and 275/35 on the rear with no major modifications? I am willing to use spacers but don't want to do any fender rolling or grinding.

If those tires won't work, can you suggest the widest tire I can fit and the spacer I would need to make it work?

I think 275 is drastic, measure how many cm you have from the existing tire to the end of the wheel well
