tire setup
I was looking in to tire set ups. For the front we want 235/35/19 and in the rear it would be ok if we went 255/30/19. I think that the 265 would rub, correct? I think that the 255 would be ok. I think that some said that the 255 would not protect the rim. Can anyone elaberate on this situation what is the correct tire set up that I would want, with no rubbing issues. Not going to lower it. Just want the correct set up (kinda like plug and play) thanks Eric

yes with 255 you wont have protection for the lip in the back
then again when you go 265 you might have some rubbing issues.
i was thinking about that too and asked some ppl. most said that as long as there are no passengers in the back there is no rubbing at all. with passengers in the back it would rub in sharp turns.
but also ... you dont have no protection for lip in front i believe with 235 on 8.5.

235 on 8.5 is fine. The 225 will leave the 8.5 exposed.
255 on the 9.5 will leave the rim exposed, but that might be what you want to run if you are worried about rubbing issue. If you want to run 265s the Toyo have a less square-ish shoulder which it'll help avoid rubbing. Generally rolling the fender is about $35 each side.

yes krew
but you gotta find someone who knows what he's doing. i asked several shops in my area if they roll fenders and they told me that they dont do it, because of the risk in doing it wrong.
you could chip the paint in the process and even when it looks okay from the outside you might have internal cracks that rust when close to sea water

37 rear.
Does that clear our calipers for the 05 and 06 sport sedans?
This is my main concern since I have already been throough this when I ordered my last rims and got to the shop to put them on and they said oh they don't fit. (you coun't imagen how pissed I was). I had to call the guy that I ordered from and listen to him back peddle after he told me that they would fit.
So for the last time just to make sure (Does it clear big brake caliper)
The offsets are what are throwing me off. Thanks again everyone.

Hi, new here but have been lurking for weeks. I really like the wheels being discussed here but didn't jump in on the order wagon because I have a black car and I am not a fan of black wheels on a black car.. doesn't look all that great in my opinion. Guess I'll wait and hope for the same sort of deal on wheels with a silver finish, or whatever they are!

Thanks, I checked out those wheels but they are not my taste. Rather have the AMG style. Also, I am reluctant about getting 19's. I think I would prefer 18's. Sounds like 19's can rub as well depending on tire size.
Anyone else that already has 19's can they say if there is any sacrifice in ride quality, road noise, and handling?
Thanks,
Mike
