is SOLD
yes they are knock offs. The real wheels are the brabus monoblock VI. they're worth the money i guess because it's $1,000 for all four wheels whereas the real thing would cost you just one rim.

Yup that's one easy way to spot a replica-by the size of the lips. There are a few rare Mono VI sets out there w/a huge rear lip, they are w/a 19x10 rear wheel though.

I plan to do springs, something with just a bit of a drop, not too dramatic. I'd be interested in opinions on the Renntech springs for a C55. I've read a bit and they seem to be a pretty good option for not too much $$. BTW, I am thinking of an upgrade to E55 soon, so if anyone wants a C55 in the next several months with some sweet black 19" rims, let me know. ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

He is my question. I like the way that my car rides right now. With these new rims, I would want it to ride the same way. Witch springs, I quess and shocks (because as I have read, they wear the oem stuff quicker if you leave the stock around) Can I use to have the same ride quality. I read that carlson has the best performance ride quality. Please someone with some real good exeriance let me know. I don't want any rubbing issues or a real uncomfortable ride.

those are NOT 2-piece. they just look like 2-piece. I've seen this seller before and he said that he has NO wheels in stock for our cars. you have an 06, which is no diff from the 05 in terms of wheels. you'll have a very difficult time finding a wheel that will clear the front brake calipers. these will not clear the front calipers.

From everything I've read, you need minimum 32 front and 35 rear. These are advertised as 35 mm on all 4. Meaning you'l be okay in the rear...you'll need a spacer minimum of 3 mm for the front.
Anyone feel free correct me if I'm wrong.
I've had my eye on that set as well..but dont like the idea of using spacers.

Ahhhhh, well see I stand corrected.

Tire Buy
Just read this thread completely...
I deal with a number of wheel & tire wholesalers, and i might be able to help out. If the group can come up with a common tire size, so i would be sending out 20 common front tires and 20 common rear tires, i should be able to get a good price for the buyers. Once the sizes are determined, i can get prices for the package on different brands. If anyone is interested let me know.
FYI...when getting these wheels and tires mounted, a fair price for your local tire shop to charge to mount the tires and balance the wheels is $10 per wheel/tire. So plan on spending $40 to get them mounted and balanced.

If you don't want to spend money on the real thing, there are a lot of legit companies that make replicas which are made to fit your car (usually). They also have some sort of reputation. These ebay rims are made by who knows who so their durability and strength might be total crap.
