why do u want 40 lb wheels on a already slow car ? Once i see this thread, I knew I'm not getting brabus wheels for sure.

Now, I know why those SCCA cars run SSR competition wheels in 18 inch... cause they are like 15lb for 18 inch wheels.

Mercedes is gone physically, but still in my heart.
New wheels and suspension!

Just put 18x8.5 Brabus Monoblock VI style wheels on with H&R lowering springs. Springs still have to settle, tell me what you think!

NICE!!!! I'm looking to do something very similar to mine here shortly. Are you using your stock shocks with the H&R springs?

I wish bi-xenons were next. I'm kind of in debt with the purchase of the car/wheels/springs so I need to start paying off before I go any further.

As for my suspension set up, just the H&R sport lowering springs. You can order them from Tirerack.com ...mine still haven't settled in yet simply because they were put on yesterday. It should lower another 1/2 inch or so over the next few weeks.

Haha my apologies for the lack of quality pictures. They're sent from my parents. I had my shop pick up the car and put everything on while I'm away at college, then asked my parents for pictures. Realistically, it'll probably be 3-4 weeks before I have any more updated pictures, but will certainly let you know.

lookin good

will ya update us about the ammount of wear you are gettin on your tires in a few months? that is if you are driving the thing around... I wanna do something similiar to my car, but am worried that just lowering the car without gettin camber arms will result in excessive wear on my tires

thanks,

Absolutely, but you shouldn't have to worry about it if you have the car properly aligned at the shop. Any shop that has the capability to do lowering springs certainly should be able to align your car.

Unfortunately, I don't put more than 7-8,000 miles on my car per year, but I'll let you know. I would expect normal wear though.

Yeah, not staggered, but it's ok, I'm not a fan of huge lips anyway. I could've bought your rims!

Yes, very nice indeed. Makes me wish that Brabus did something for the C230 Kompressor in this country. I called them and they said that they don't have the power kit anymore.

AUTO-COUTURE WHEELS: New model, FRANTIC and entire line media images

Hey guys, AUTO-COUTURE finally took some decent media images of their product line for their dealers. With the previous pics, it was really hard to truly represent the detailed aspect of the wheels.

Also included were pics of the newest model, its called the FRANTIC, and I think its a hot design. it sort of reminds me of a more aggressive Maya GR5. I particularly like the semi exposed rivets and beveled edge detailing between the rivet sections.

All pictured wheels are 3pc, FORGED, Custom Crafted and include Brushed Aluminum, Chrome, Black, Gunmetal Centers with Chrome Lips as standard equipment.

For any inquiries, email sales@d2autosport.com

You know what I like. In the last picture of the white CLS, I like the Rolls Royce Phantom in the background.
