I see eye to eye with you. You only get wha you pay for. Look at the Notorious Brabus Replicas. You can get a set with tires for the same price as 1 genuine Brabus wheel. I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole.

Question on Zenetti Wheels.

http://www.zenetti.com/html/2006/ind...cb8e7a20cacddf

Where are they made from? I couldn't find any info on their website.

Anyone try one b4? Are they good?

Thank you in advance.

BTW. I've searched the forum (https://mbworld.org/forums/search.php?searchid=1771493) BUT found most threads are about selling their Zenetti wheels! Are they bad products?

Oh! ok... Thanks.

DAMN! They pretty good in price. NO WONDER!

Any good suggestion on other brands, if I want the similar looks?

I struggled with this debate as well and came to the conclusion that although I was able to afford the car(1997 C280), there is no way I can afford the rims I want (Brabus or Carllson) right now. sure I can wait and save my pennies until I can, but that might take a year or two and I'm too antsy to sit and look at these factory wheels any longer than I have to, so I'm gonna pony up the cash for some replicas and get the originals later or on another benz because I plan on keeping this one anyway.

I just ain't got the financial stamina to keep up with the Jones & Johanssons, but I can damn sure fake it.

and look at it this way, would you wear a fresh pair of sneakers with some worn out jeans? I would. You still look cool, right? right.

food for thought.

everbody go check out ryhi's patchwerk benz in the C280 gallery. He made me a believer....

my uncle has lowenharts..real from mercedes when he bought the car, hes hit pot holes a few times and has had to replace a rim a total of 3-4 times, not always what u pay for, and he paid a lot for his lowenharts (3 piece). IMO one piece wheels are stronger, but i could be wrong.

i say. just go for the looks .. obviously the more expensive the better, quality, looks, lighter, more handling, and nicer.

but its not like ur gonna use ur car as a ultimate show car . so replicas are good for now mine carlsson are replicas ..but i dont really care what ppl say ..
cause im not spending 4000 or more on a set of rims when these were only 500

Replica rims are not a biggie for me, I just bought a set of 18's for my teenage daughters car. To me what is much more of a pet peeve is the tires. I have to chuckle to myself when I pull up to a light and see a $30k+ car riding on $79 Cheng Shen type tires.

Why are so many of you unsure of your offsets? Especially the guys with big dollar HRE wheels and the like. Offset is very important.

Because the offsets from companies like HRE and iForged are considered proprietary info. They don't disclose the offset to their customers.

Wow, that's seriously retarded. Offset is a measurement...not something created in a bunker in Nevada? I guesss one more reason I wouldn't buy wheels from them...

Help with IForged wheels fitment

I just picked up some IForged wheels (19x8.5, 19x9.5) from a friend. They came off an '04 A4. Would anyone know what size spacers I would need to make them fit? I searched, but couldn't find any info on this. Thanks.

From the wheel sizes I'm guessing that the A4 was a front wheel drive. I did a quick search online and the offset on the wheels is 45mm I believe. The C-Class uses 33-35mm. I don't think that's going to work out.

you'll need to custom the hub-centric spacers to the wheel. Most likely 10mm all the way around if they don't fit.

Question about wheels?

I am planning on buying wheels for my 06 c230. I have no plans on lowering the car, just want to change the wheels. What size of wheels would you recommend me getting so it looks nice without having to lower the car?

-Thanks

19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear stock offset on both is regular stagger, I'm just giving you the unagressive set-up since it doesn't sound like you care all that much about performance.

bone stock E55 AMG
if u r not going to lower the car, keep the stock wheels...
18" or 19" will not look good w/o dropping the car...

What he said...

you know there are sport springs that won't make the ride as harsh as other lowering (race) springs, then you can do 18" or 19".

if you really don't want to drop it, then go 17", you can even use the same tires you have.

goodluck

Just forget it unless you do another set in 17's. I had this idea myself about upgrading wheels without the suspension upgrade because I like the stock feel but it won't look good from all the other pics forum members have shown.

You'll end up driving a 4X4.
