"Double Stuff" SOLD | Nor*Cals "Pesky Audi"
arent mandrus rims fake knockoffs that are sold on ebay? i went to a car shop and told them about these mandrus wheels i wanted to get...and they laughed at me....they said if you dont want to get laughed at..dont buy them....??? i dont know exactly what type of brand mandrus is....
As long as we are happy individually with how the cars appearance is, I say, who cares. And no its not because im 'fruga;' or 'cheap'. Just kinda seems that if you dont have stupid amounts of money to drop on the 'right' things, your "not cool"
I'm due up for my C in about 2-3 weeks and I could give a damn what others think. I know i have taste, and as long as I am happy with the car, then thats all that matters. I'm sure you've seen COUNTLESS people on the road wondering, 'why the hell did they do that to that poor car?!'.. its their own personal touch. who cares if its wrong or right... its there's and thats all taht matters.
Sorry to go off on a rant, but on top of a shatty day, Kinda hard to read some of the things people say or worry about.

My "knock off" Brabus wheels
WHO CARES!!!
I say get what you want and who gives 2 shats to what anyone else thinks. If they look good people are going to think what they want anyway. Just with the grill, flat hood badge and wheels a few people have asked me how much "a car like that" cost. One guy who works for me thought it was a $50,000 car. I bought this car because I wanted something with better gas mileage and comfort than my 350Z. The sad thing is...the Z cost more than the benz did even after upgrades. So esentially I got a benz and downgraded on peformance and low speed handling. So do knock off wheels matter....not one tiny bit.

As said earlier..I believe most consider them knockoffs of the Carlsson 1/16 series...BEs front & ULs back.

ehhh...i guess a little...maybe. still think it is a little different look. I dont really give a sh$t about knockoffs or not. I think they are nice looking wheels for the money. As long as I dont hear any major gripes about quality I will be ordering a set very soon.

white and whiter
just think of Mandrus/TSW as Axis except Mandrus/TSW's sold as different brand. Made by manufacturer that probably makes the replicas as well, but doesn't really affect anything. All the new casting technology are pretty much the same. Even for replicas, these are not the replicas of old where the factories that produces them don't have enough funds like the big brand does for the newer machines. All you are buying these days are Brand image which personally I could careless. I just get whatever I want/like.

I have a set of these rims and as far as I've seen their similar to a few brands.
They are how ever a one peice rim with a staggard fit to give your car a more aggressive look with a 2 3\4 rear lip and 1 inch front lip, and their priced right, I purchased these rim's thinking I'd wear them until my three peice rim's were ready but found I kind of like'em and have'nt changed over yet.

And no they are not fake knockoffs I think thay are considered and or regarded as knockoffs of the brand Carlssons 1\16 as stated.
I get nothing but compliments with these rim's and I do own a three piece set as well that I have'nt even put on yet.
My only problem or concern with these rim's are the front rim's lip size other than that the quality is as good as most.
Please buy what's best for you and your budget and or your style and don't be a slave to opinion's based on bias and or potential profit from whom ever.
Goodluck with your search.
Regards Rob

jrida47: Mandrus Rims = knock off rims? whoever told you that is . Mandrus is a company that makes rims specifically for mercedes benz. The quality is also very good.
I love my Mandrus rims, im running 19's staggered. I've hit pot holes going 70-80mph and no bent rims I love the finish, but the polish seems to have a slight peel on the lips, but you cant tell unless ur realli looking for it.
Im gettin DPE's as a third set but thats a different story

Opinion: Bbs Lm Wheels In Gold Finish..
ok so i have yet to see anyone go with a gold wheel setup...and im looking into wheels and ive fallen in love with the look of the BBS LM wheels when i saw SDSILVERM3's car, b/c i ,like him, also have a white car. so i am very much in love with these wheels, but i kinda want a tad different look, i was orignally gonna go with the the black and white theme..but im not sure...silver is a elegent way to go, black is nice but everyones doing it.. and gold is jus a racey/new trend to me, and ive been contemplating it. so does anyone have any pics of white c's on gold bbs wheels haha...i jus lowered my car and my god it looks awesome, ill post a thread when i get my pics up. thanks!

white car with gold rim sounds good to me, look at the Subaru STI WRX, the white one with gold rim is very nice looking, definiately special on urs too. I agree on the black rim, well there isn't THAT much people doing it, just dont' look at me lol

yea i dunno...gold can play its way on certain wheels styles...i think the bbs wheel is the only way to go in gold on a euro car or something of the like split/mesh style..

Hey Anthuny. I think it would look good on your car. I know it looked good on my friend Dut's M3 however the only thing that concerned me was the shade of our Alabaster white cars. It's more towards creamy than a pure white such as BMW Alpine white. Cream+gold just doesn't do it for me.
Dut had a lot of people telling him it would look ricey too. It turned out better than anyone ever imagined so what do you have to lose? If you don't like it just powder coat them something else.
To add to this: I don't like mesh wheels painted black because you lose the detail. Why spend $4k+ on wheels when you can't see the design anyway?
