that sometimes is true tho .....
but also, there's a couple of places
on top of my head which can get
very nice wheels for a much cheaper price
(this one for example .... http://www.euroteckmotorsports.com/ )

thanks for your imputs, but yes, i would rather buy new wheels even if it is a little more. i cant really trust ebay, especially when wheels are a pretty important part of a car. also, i know i can find cheaper wheels, but i dont want to buy replica wheels, i would rather dish out more money if i was gonna buy a brabus or amg then to buy a replica. ill let you guys know what i do.

Rim offset and lowering question
I just bought some aftermarket rims (my Evolution rims are in my snow tires)
The problem is the offset is 38 or 40 (17x7.5)
They clear the suspension and the brakes, but I was wondering if I lowered the car with eibachs, could this reduce my clearance (to the suspension).
I dont think so, due to the relationship between the shock and the a-arms in the front and rear...but I havent tried it.
Also, anyone have a clearance issue with eibach pro-kit with passengers in the car? I had them on my LT1 Trans-Am, and the car was on the bump stops with two average size passengers...
On my c230 coupe the rear already looks low, and I was wondering if lowering caused issues in the rear. I'd consider lowering just the front, but the suspension needs help as the car is so darn floaty with the stock suspension.
The car only has 30,000 miles on it currently...shocks are good...

Do these wheels suck?
Hey I just bought some 18" wheels that look nice to me, but I noticed that most of the people posting abouts mods on the c320 only like Brabus or AMG or Lorinser wheels, or similar extremely expensive wheels. Do these wheels look cheap to you guys? They're called Arays, model Kragen, Chinese made. I plan on putting Mercedes center caps on them. Thanks for your input. If I'm gonna look like a poser with these I'll sell them and get something else.

put it on and we will see
they look nice but chrome won't match with the bolt to me, they made it look like shiny diamond, but they should look great, what color is your car??
yup black out the center and leave the lip chrome

Yeah break it down, man, that's why I asked. The stock 16"s are chrome, but these wheels may be too much on my black car. What do you guys recommend for something with class, preferrably black with chrome lip?

Lame. I didn't pay a lot for them, $490 total, so I can get rid of them pretty easy. A guy here in Portland has some new TSWs with new Falken tires for $1200, but I don't know what model TSWs, or what finish. Another guy has 3 - 17" Brabus monoblock wheels without the bolts, but how could I get the fourth? I'm looking for 5 on 112 aren't I? Thanks for replying to a newbie. All of you are cruel hearted elitists...

naw don't put those rims on. i don't think chrome should be put on a benz. get some brushed Vellano's or HRE's. something with class , but be prepared to spend at least $3,500!
