They are 18's for sure. I forgot the tires they are Sumitomo HTRZ II in 235/40front and 255/35 rear from Tire Rack under our account $467.00 shipped.

I actually got money off for one wheel having a barely noticable blemish of $129.00 so the whole cost was $1007.00 SHIPPED for the wheels and tires, lugs were $50.00 with locks. SO really it is $1057.00 grand total.

I did all the PAINSTAKING (being nice) masking and inlay blackouts, never again I can tell you that!!

Got checked by a mechanic at Canadian Tire. Same reason, log bolts hitting the e-brake shoes. What is the size of the stock lug bolts?

You should be able to find it by searching the forum. I remember I had to find the stock lug bolt sizes a while back and found it with a quick search.

I used 1.5 inch long ball seat on the Brabus Reps, the stockers are too long at 2.5 inches I think?

I need some wheels and tires for the summer and have a few questions.

1. What is the size of the front and rear wheels on a stock 04 c230K SS?
2. What are the decent places to order from online? I have checked out tirerack.com, but they have pretty weak offerings for the most part IMO and the ones that are nice are out of stock until like mid summer.
3. What is the mumbo jumbo about using wheels with lips on the front that I read about in the aftermarket wheel thread. I would like some wheels with lips, is there anything special I should know?

I guess that's it for now, should get me going. I guess the most important part is finding some better sources than tirerack.com.

1. 04's are tricky. Do you have the 5-spoke staggered setup or the 7-spoke (C7) wheels?

2. Tire selection can increase greatly depending on your answer to question #1

3. If you have the larger brakes that some 2004's come with, you need to be more careful about wheel selection

1. If you have the staggered 17", tire sizes should be 225/45/17F and 245/40/17R.

2. Other than Tirerack, you may want to try discount tires as well.

3. Are you looking to upgrade to 18" or 19"?

You can find some great deals on Ebay, although the wheels and wheel/tire packages you find on there are generally going to be slightly to heavily used. Be sure to check out the pictures carefully, and before you buy tires make the seller take pictures of each tire's tread with the penny/quarter-in-the-tread close-up (that's the best way to visually assess actual tread remaining). I wouldn't rely too much on a seller's representation of "70% tread remaining," etc. But if you're just looking for summer tires, then the tread shouldn't matter too much (I run winters on my stock wheels).

There are quite a few reputable wheel/tire shops that sell packages through Ebay or their own sites. Just make sure you check to see they have 95%+ positive feedback. I bought my summer wheels and tires through a place in Cali called Nitrous Garage and I think I got a great deal. They specialize in packages for MB, BMW, etc. They've usually got some hard to find wheels, and they'll be able to tell you whether or not a particular package will fit a W203 C-Class.

By going to a plus size like 18's you get a larger selection.

They will stiffen up you ride quality.
Also widen your wheel selection by looking at rim size not actual model fitment.
Email Luke at tirerack for a list of all the 17 and 18 inch rim combos that will fit your model.

if you have the 5-spoke staggered wheels then you most likely have the larger brakes. Your brake rotors should be cross drilled and your calipers should say "Mercedes Benz" on them with 4 torx bolts.

well, be carefull then. Even with the proper offset wheels, the wheel spokes may not clear your calipers.

i just bought some new rims for my c class w203 i was wondering what kind of tires woudl fit on it without rubbing or do any mod to the car the sizes are 19x8.5 in the front and 19x9.5 in the back please somebody help

I got 4 staggered Sumitomo HTR2 from Tire rack at around $350 for the set, I also had them shipped to a recommended installers where they called me to say my tires were in & I paid $140 to mount them. I also remembered to remove my $15 MB vavle caps first. They put some cheap rubber ones on. Otherwise no complaints at all.

So I bought these wheels

19x8 ET32 and 19x9 ET35
Tires are gonna be BFG KDW-2 235/35 and 265/30. Used the tire size calculator and it's within 2% of OEM diameter.

test mounted them on my c32 and everything clears but but it looks awful close. Worried that when I mount the tires and the suspension is compressed I will have issues with rubbing. Here are some pix



Rear wheel

This picture is tells me if the new wheel isnt hitting now it shouldnt have an issue. Can anybody reassure me on that?

Also I know my lug bolts are too long. Can I calculate the length I need by using the new wheel and also a new brake rotor (not yet installed) and stack them up and put a stock lug bolt through it to get a good idea of the length I'll need? It looks like the hub only takes about 10-15mm of threads so add that onto the length that goes through the wheel and rotor?

I'm trying to figure all this out before I order the tires. Also plan on coilovers down the road so I may need a 5-10mm spacer for more clearance. Should I add another 5-10mm to the measurement to compensate for that as well? I didnt get to measure how much clearance from where the back of the hub ends until it hits the rear parking brake.

Sorry for the lengthy post but I wanted to be thorough. Thanks for all the help guys.

those are fine. you should have plenty of clearance with coilover on the 8" width with ET32 offset.

on the 8" width my 18x8 bbs re was ET35 up front and I'm running the 5mm spacer, but even without the spacer there's no clearance issue with the coilover.

that looks awfully similar to mine, but a little better. i also only have a few mm of room [tire to inner wall], and i rub. i can see the rub streaks on the inner wall.

I am thinking about these in the 18", but will 8 inches wide all around be funky? What are my current wheel widths with the staggered setup? By the looks of the spokes there should be clearance for the big calipers, but is there any way to tell for sure? Anything else I need to know with this wheel?
