Removing Hood Vents?
Hey Guys,
So yesterday I took off my grill and then took the chrome piece off the black piece. I painted the chrome black and it looks amazing
Now I want to paint the vents on my hood in front of the windshield the same black. The only problem is I cant seem to find a way to take the vents off the hood. On the inside of the hood I can see 2 screws, but they are neither a Phillips nor flathead, so I dont know how to take them out.
has anyone else done this??
any advice?????
thanks

by looking at EPCnet- it seems as though there are a couple screws on the underside of the hood as well as a couple spring loaded clips of some sort.
i am trying to find a way to save a picture of the parts diagram to post so you can see what i am talking about. hope that helps a little.

Then open mspaint (Start --> Run, then type mspaint.exe). This will open up Windows Paintbrush.
Then hold CTRL + V (or go into Edit --> Paste), and this will paste your clipboard image into Paintbrush.
Save the file. Then post the pic for all of us to see

thanx for the help
I searched and found nothing.....maybe I'm blind like my mom tells me
I was able to remove the vents by un-screwing the 3 screws under the hood, but there are 2 thick wires conected to the vents (I assume they are for the indsheild wipers and stuff)
I now need to remove the wires OR find a way to separate the top part of the vents from the bottom (in a similar way that you can take apart the grill)
Any ideas?????
