1 week with Eibach springs and sways

Well, after one week with the springs and sways on my coupe and I am thrilled with the car. If MB had this as an option there would be a lot less BMWs sold! The car handles like its on rails! The ride is so smooth my 70 year old mother didn't even notice any added harshness. People do yourself a favor and do the mods. I am one happy driver!

Yeah, the stock shocks are in until they die. They are doing a fine job so far, but for how long who knows? The other weird but great thing is that I can go over speed bumps faster without any problems. Certain speed bumps on a street near my house could only be taken at 22mph before, now I can take them at 35 without any problem!

Young - I didn't think the AMG springs dropped the car at all (or not noticeable at least)?? C320 vs C32 looks identical

oops... sorry. i got the amg swaybars.

i was close to getting the eibachs. but i figured, the amg's would be simpler for right now. i'll see once they're on and i can compare.

i have no (current) plans for new springs.

mdp c230k - Where did you purchase the springs and sway bar, and how much were they? (If you don't mind my asking) Will they work on a C240? Thanks.

I got them from shox.com online for $249 springs and $349 for the sways! They have them for C240 too.

I love sway bars. I never knew they did anything until I got them. Very nice upgrade you did. Im sure you are gonna enjoy it as much as me. Im thinking about stiffening mine up a notch. Taking the turns harder yet being so flat and responsive it so fun.

Oh by the way, for those who might wonder how I can stiffen mine up its because I have the Evosport sway bars. 3 way adjustable in the front 2 way adjustable in the rear. They are set in the softest setting for me right now.

The Eibachs have two positions on the bars, I'm on the softer of the two and it is plenty!

The Pro kit shouldn't increase the wear on the shocks by much...that's why I would prefer to get the Eibachs over H&R Springs...now a coilover kit would be good but not at their current prices!!

What would you consider a good price for coilovers?

H&R = $1221
Carlsson = $1795
Ideal Price = $???

Those prices are quite reasonable and if I lived in the US I would seriously consider getting the H&R kit. But here in Oz we have to pay a hell of alot more...the Eibach Sway bars alone cost about $1300 not including install.

Why don't you just order from the US?

I've seriously considered that...I get all my bulbs and accessories from your great country but its the shipping cost that kills, sometimes being more than the actual cost of the product!... and if you are really unlucky, customs picks it up and slaps on duty (those revenue-reaping *******s!).

A set of coilovers would cost about $300US to ship UPS 3-day. Does that make them cheap enough.
