And my '01 has one on each front and only one in the right rear! During a wheel rotation while checking the pads I found the left rear inside pad (the only wheel without a sensor) had only about .020" remaining!! I think the concept is good in general because very few people check, or even know how to check, for pad wear. Unfortunately, some mechanics take advantage of that lack of knowledge.

lol i think it is a good thing they warn you early. you know how many people probably drive it for a few months till they take it in. a family member of mine that doesn't care about cars at all drove with a check engine light on for two years before taking it in to get it diagnosed. it cost all of 20 dollars to fix lol.

I have a 2005 C240, I have this same brake wear visit workshop message, I went to Mercedes last week and picked up the rear and front brakes, the guy at the shop said I only needed a sensor for one, I think the front(don't remember which) but he gave them to me. I went and installed them at an autoshop and I still have the message. I have no clue what to do to get rid of the message right now. Any suggestions?
