Guess my question is, if you are looking for status/exclusivity and want to spend $125K on a car, why not get something that displays that status to the general populus, like a maserati, Aston Martin or Panoz.
To 99% of the population any C Class, even a Brabus one, looks like $35K c-class with a different badge or spoiler.
To those in "the know", you get tons of respect, but that's a lot of cash for status amongst a very small group of people.
To each his own, though, and no doubt Brabus is sweet.
Certainly wouldn't kick it out of my garage!

but also..you got to think...Brabus cars are very pratical to drive everyday...and i bet if someone can afford to buy a Brabus car for daily driving...there has to be other nice toys in the garage....

Good points.
Question -- Where does one take a full Brabus car for routine engine maint.?
Where do you take it if something goes wrong with the engine?
Will MB dealers service these cars if Brabus parts fail?
If you can simply go to MB for service, that makes a great case for practical daily use, as opposed to having to have your car serviced at the Brabus facility

Re: any help?

The shift knob is highly in stock. Brabus received fresh inventory 1.5 weeks ago. Retails for 295. Give them a call.

picked one up already...

I was just wondering if anyone had any step by step instructions on the installation. Want to tap it into the light switch system instead of the cig lighter. where it might be constantly on while the car is on.

i was able to get 2 Brabus Shiftknob from a local tuner long ago..
1 in alu design - was sold to allen
1 in walnut desgn - just installed.. after more than an year...

I have both OEM English/ German Installation Instruction. However allen has made a better instruction (with pic.), for those who need one just let me know
Its fairly easy to install, shouldnt take more than 25min.

Mike

i will upload some pics once i get my FTP to work again..

Negative on that. Let me repeat, for the 3rd time, BRABUS has received fresh inventory about 1.5 weeks ago. They have it in plentiful stock from right now, as of Feb 16th, as in Feb 16 of this year, as in 2004.

Brabus did receive new inventory two weeks ago, BUT they dont have it in "plentiful" stock. I believed they are all gone.

I have two autos if anyone is interested......

Well, I think it was me who asked Brabus to bring in the shift knob from Germany. So I even know how many they have received.....

ML 320 CDI
The 2.6 S kit is an increased capacity with a modified Kompressor (I don't remember the mods) and a custom exhaust system. it produces 250 HP.

I think they put supercharger in a C240. C240 has a 2.6L, go figure with the naming. Why can't they call the lineup C180, C260, and C320.
