I just lowered my coupe yesterday too. Brabus springs, stock shocks.
A big thanks to oel who spent the better part of 8 hours at my house. 
We had a ton of trouble because the spring compressor we had got in the way of the cups inside the strut assembly.
Before: 4 finger gaps in front, 3 in back.
Now: 2.5 in front, 1.5 in back.
Handling: not sure if it's in my head, but I could swear that my understeer is GONE. This will have to be tested one of these nights.
I also have AMG sways.
Noise: It got rid of the "clunk" I've had in my car ever since I did my AMG sways in 2005. I have no idea why, but not complaining.
