I think that my favorite line of all time is the

"Where are the white women at?" that Clevon says when they're in line to sign up for work, and the Klan guys are in front of them.

Though I think that the ending of BS is bs, and goes on too long. Where did Mel's sense of humor go?

Tommy,

I just ordered some MT pedals. I should be getting them next week. Was it hard to install? And what does it involve (ie drilling)?

It's fairly easy, just time-consuming. Take your time with it - I'd allow for 2-3 hours, because the bolts, washers, and locking nuts are very small, and you'll get frustrated, and will want a couple of breaks in there to kick the dog, break some glasses, or do some other stress-relieving events.

Yes, you have to drill out all four pedals. The clutch pedal is plastic, which was a surprise. The drilling was easy - just line up the pedals, and drill! The hard part is getting the washers and nuts on the bolts before they fall. I ended up with a couple of washers on the floormat; no biggie, though. The locking nuts have kept mine tight for close to a year now.

About the gas pedal: it's a closed loop, with the cover wrapped around the pedal. You have to cut the rubber on the side of the pedal to remove it, at least on the C7 cover. You'll be left with the black plastic base for the pedal to attach to. The cover will look like it's too wide for the pedal, but it'll fit. Another important part: the cover attaches with screws (six, I think); I did starter holes with a small drill bit. Be very careful, you don't have much room for error.

Good luck, take your time, and you'll be fine.

BRABUS Shift knob Pics

Did anyone ever post a good pic of the Brabus Shift knob? Especially at night... I want to see it illuminated.

Thanks
Ensey

How expensive were the pedals? Where did you buy them from? Can you heel and toe shift better with these pedals?

You can't heel-and-toe the coupe. At least, not successfully. It has an electronic throttle that closes when the brake pedal is pressed. Pressing the gas when the brake is applied will not raise the RPMs.

Here's a pic I took while down at Brabus N. America. The car was off, so the knob wasn't illuminated. It's basically and yellowish hue when the light is on.

Dude, did you replace the entire accelerator housing or did you just tie on the gas pedal onto the existing one?

Couple of answers:

the gas pedal is screwed onto the plastic base after removing the old one by cutting it off. The gas pedal assembly is a closed circle.

totita - I got mine for $200 from Action Tire in Lodi. Don't know where in Joisey you are, though.

The illuminated shift knob is not available for automatic C-class. I've called Brabus NA several times since Feb and they said they will have it soon. But the last time I called (in June), I was told that they will not be receiving the shift knobs from Germany ever again. The only ones that they have in stock is the stick shift.
