ESP/BAS sensor location

my esp/bas has been going off practically everytime i drive my car for the last month. enough is enough. i brought it into the dealer a few months ago and they changed the steering column and electronics. still no good. i know this is a "no-fix" problem, but im thinking of getting a new sensor and replacing it myself. (don;t feel like bringing it to the dealer since they screw up something everytime). can anyone tell me exactly where this sensor is located (any pics?). also, does anyone know the part number of the sensor? thanks.

My car was displaying the ESP/BAS Malfunction Messages and my MB Tech replaced three terminals in a connection for the system. I have not had anymore problems. My Tech said they have seen this before and that the dealer support center in Chicago instructed them on the repair a while back. He said no cars have returned after this fix.

the parts replaced were:

(1) 001-997-83-90 Clamp
(1) 203-540-47-33 Electric Cable
(3) 001-546-99-41 Cable Connector

This may also be your problem.

My paper work is vague and I picked up the car after the tech had gone for the day. I would assume they resolved a connection issue between the sensors and the module. You should be able to get somewhere with the part numbers.

Hi

I hope you have better luck with the parts than in the UK. I am waiting as they are on back order and have been since Dec 12th. There are none available in the UK. The dealer did say though that this is a definate fix for the problem.
