DCX already has an established truck division....and the car guys should DODGE it at all costs.
Seriously, I can't understand all these company's wanting to jump on a bandwagon to make a luxo-truck. Porsche, BMW, Cadillac, Lincoln and Lexus have no business making work trucks. The people who buy them never seem to realize how top heavy and more difficult to manuever these hiddeous beasts are.
Call me prejudiced, but I even though about cancelling subscriptions to Auto(truck)Week and Car(truck)&Driver....if I wanted to read about sport utility and crossover vehicles....I'd buy 4X4 and WildTruck.

i don't need a truck so i wouldn't buy it. even if i needed a truck, i wouldn't buy it b/c i'd be worried i might scratch it! after all, it is a merc.
but, mercedes is a business and they are out to make money. when people buy droves of suvs/trucks, mercedes says, well, maybe we should try to make money from that. same w/ porsche's cayenne. i don't see that as illogical.
btw, i put the SUV/truck market sort of together b/c i hear the same type of complaints about the cayenne but purists may separate the two markets.
