I'm a few days away from purchasing a 2001 C320 sport. Just wondering if there are any fellow brethren on this board. My last vehicle was a 2000 S4 - hopefully what I lose in power will be more than made up for in refinement!

I'll be picking up a desert silver/charcoal leather c320 sport this weekend. Included in the deal are summer rims/tires - they're 225/45/17 front and 245/40/17 back on AMG 203 rims. The car seems to be in good condition and I checked all records/service info. Can you tell me if the stereo system is good? I'm not sure if Bose was standard or not in 2001. It definitely has the 6 disc changer in the glove compartment. While I'm on the subject, you wouldn't happen to have a list of standard features/options for 2001? I know what they are for 2003, but I suspect they were slightly different in 2001.
The S4 was mechanically solid, but I think MB has them when it comes to solidity and overall quality assembly. Plus, the c320 has a number of bells and whistles that the S4 didn't have. I agree though that the 2004 S4 should be an interesting car!

It's a private deal so I haven't yet inquired about extended warranty but that's a good idea. He had the brake pads redone and had a new windshield installed as well as several signal bulbs changed(as well as routine maintenance). I paid 43,500 so I think I did OK. It has voice recognition, timeport phone, CD changer, heated seats, sunroof,alarm, and split fold down seats. Do you know how much it is to retrofit xenons? Not sure if it has Bose sound but I guess I'll find out. I think full leather was part of the sport package.
Is this site the best place for info - seems like you really have to dig for info here(not like Audiworld.com). Any suggestions for info sites would be appreciated.
I'll definitely post pictures here once I get the car - stay tuned probably this weekend!
