Check this site, I bought this one....
http://www.alpha-bid.com/product69.html
it clears CEL's. There's other ones that are for Canbus, but in 2002 it wasn't needed to clear CEL's on my car, not all data shows up, but most of it.
I keep it in the glovebox. Try doing that with a PC based setup.
You'll see there's a Chinese knock off Carsoft, but I've never been able to get a definitive answer if this works. Some people it works, others it doesn't.

I don't really need this, I have a local (like less than a mile away) guy with SDS who's cool.
Anyway, there's lots of threads on this, so maybe go take a look, so we can avoid turning this into into another CEL scantool thread.

Well it looks like parts.com will end up coming through on everything....for the most part. Still I would be hesitant to order from them again.
My credit card is billed to a dealer in Ill. Maybe I'll call them and ask if they'll deal direct.
The only problems are that it seems or at least they claim that wiper blades only come in sets now. Well, that makes sense and the price for a pair was only 25 bucks + etc.
But I have one extra drivers side in need of a passenger side wiper. Oh well.
That being said they sent the part without explanation, it appeared it had
doubled in price, and I told them when asked if I wanted it, NO.
They sent it anyway. I was pleased to find it was a pair, not one, but....
then now, it seems the one missing part is being sent from another dealer.
And they increased the price by 10-12 bucks or so without my permission.
All in all, a fair transaction, but wow the shipping was like 55 bucks.
The shipment will end up coming in 3 different boxes, the one for the insulation is HUGE! It's like 4 feet high, and 3 feet wide, so that might account for the shipping costs.
Like I said, I think I prefer to deal directly with a dealer...I miss Duval and Autobahn's online system.
But all in all the same parts from a dealer or even the place in Florida that still uses trademotion was way more expensive.

Spiderpig, spiderpig, friendly neighborhood spiderpig....
Dude, you jacked my thread!! Beat me to it!
Oh well, thats ok. I'll post pics when I get everything done.
Where'd you get the AMG style spoiler?
Yeh, I got the insulation with the metal part as shown...
I wonder which model that was used on?
Apparently not on the standard C Coupe...
including the 2006 someone had around here.
I suppose you don't really NEED it with that...
the standard one is only 35 bucks. But I think it looks cool.
Can't wait to install it.

Dang sorry man, thought it would help the thread but I guess not. I just got excited LOL.
Someone said AMG style spoiler? It is AMG spoiler not replica. it is a special order from dealer.
That sounds good for the AMG bumper, but is it genuine? It would be better if I pay with my account in Europe, so there is no fees nor loss on exange rate. Most importantly, I need to check the differences from the regular bumper. What country is this deal from?
Paint job won't be cheap, but I know Truetaing's got skills LOL.

Well, got the new insulation installed, easy job.
Reused most of the rivets.
Most people I know are mystified I would replace something not normally seen. (well except by me)
It's nice that with this improved version it goes down further and doesn't rely on any adhesive to hold it in place.
The bottom 2 rivets though were a little smaller than the rest.
Fortunately I had a few kicking around from earlier projects.
Not much point in posting a pic...it looks just like the 2 already posted.
Now I'm trying to tighten the manifold bolts, it's been leaking a little, resulting in fumes coming into the cabin when at a stop.
Sux when it's cold, and you have to turn off the heat every time you stop.
Next up, I have some nice vinyl material to replace the crappy cloth covering on the door kick panels.
I'll post pics! This is gonna look sweet. It's the ugliest thing in the interior right now. The cloth always has been a pain and gets dirty.
Then I need to find a grinder somewhere to get the grill ready to install.
And lastly replace the bulb socket on the left side marker.

I see you saw :

- post 20 by Wingless for the side marker part#
Easy fix - less than $5.00 I think
Congrats on the hood insulation. I was pleased to get that done too - made the whole engine bay look a little cleaner!
I'm interested to see how the door kick panels goes...did you consider Carbon Fibre like Advans used? Does that kick panel come out on its own (luckily, I've not had to disassemble a door panel yet)

You may recall a thread some time back from a guy who ended up getting a new interior from Cloth to leather courtesy of his insurance company,
as he got an aerosol can of paint caught in the seat and it trashed the whole interior.
He's a local guy, who also was involved in the ASP vs. Kleeman debate, had all 3 versions of the ASP...
Anyway, the shop covered his door panels in leather.
I priced it, but it was a lot, and the vinyl will clean up nice.
It's a separate piece but they cost like 80-100 each last I looked.
I got enough material to do both doors for 10 bucks!
It's no big deal to remove a door panel, there's a good thread on it.
Anyway, I'm not breathing exhaust anymore thankfully, tightened the manifold bolts, and put the Chacoal activated genuine MB cabin air filter in.
Can't say how well the new filter works, but I'm hoping it will clean up
nasty smells along the roads.
Since I've been breathing fumes for a while hard to tell how much better it is.
I really like the new insulation.

lookin good!
you have to be VERY careful with that thin piece that you cut to make the grille fit. one of mine is pretty much snapped off. unfortunately when "powa" sold it to me i didn't know it was already in rough condition for the fitment

I just increased contrast, and color saturation + sharpened.
Back in the day I had a darkroom....it's so awesome with digi pics.
It was such a dreary day, I wanted some pics, but yeh,
I pumped up the volume and it the pic turned out pretty good.
PS. Thats my driveway not a 'ramp'.
