Ho! Ho! Ho!!!! What does my little C Coupe want for Christmas??
God knows I won't tell my GF, that I just ordered 500 bucks of parts I don't "need", geez, I couldn't help myself!!!
But, I did order all those parts.
Including.
2005 Cheese Grater Grill !!!!
2003+ Heat Shielded Hood Insulation (like anyone will notice, but I'll feel good knowing things are clean under there...) Yeah!!!!
2 speaker grills, the damn things are always getting the seat belt stuffed through
5 golden rings!!! Not really....
OK, 5 plastic rivets, 1 Cabin Air filter (the good one with Charcoal to kill odors, not just paper)
2 right side wiper blades- the hard one to find since it's curved , the drivers side is easy to find.
1 stupid plastic part thats holds the window switches, damn it was
like 65 bucks and thats the cheap price (mine is broken, damn the body shop!!!)
A spare CPS to carry around in the trunk just in case
+ a extra bolt and washer
uh...3 spare oil filters...
and 2 manifold gaskets. They seems to go bad fairly often like due to the Supersprint header.
Prices were good, so I just decided to stock up.
Anyone care to make a song out of this??
On the 1st day of Christmas...etc.

LOL - I think this is hilarious! Ive got extra oil and a funnel in my trunk incase I ever get the low oil message.... which has happened ONCE to me and it terrified me, lol. The things we do for our cars..

Ah, the ghost of Christmas past. What the heck is causing your header to repeatedly leak? Is its flange warped? Studs, nuts, and the Supersprint-specific bolts not maintaining sufficient clamping pressure? Perhaps the supported portion of the remaining exhaust system is imparting undue stress on the manifold. Get that bloody thing torqued up and sealed away once and for all.

nice gifts...i got my coupe the bix so it can see more clearly for xmas but it seems hid in the frosties were brighter...think i need to get one of those cabin filters did u get them from dealers or online somewhere and whats the part number?

I wanted the carbon one, filter out nasty smells along the way, hopefully.
It's like 20 bucks.
The grill was like 120 + shipping etc. so I need to wait and see what the final price is.
As far as the bix not being as bright as your old lights, if you got them used, try a new set of bulbs.
I got the Philips 85122+ off ebay for 50 a pair. No hyper white, but very bright.
The bulbs that came in mine were on their last leg.

I always keep an extra quart of oil or 2. Mine burns about that much between oil changes. It's gotten to be less as time goes on.
I think it's designed, I mean even if you are 2 quarts low, you still have 5 in the crankcase, so not likely any damage would occur.
These days, instead of adding oil, I just try to change it when it asks for addtl. oil, since I've been running the not MB approved stuff (like Valvoline Syntec, and Penzoil Platinum, still good oil just not tested by MB) on sale for $1 a quart. so like every 7K miles instead of 10-13K like the computer says.
I keep a complete set of metric tools in a small toolkit behind the passenger seat, an ODBII scanner, a digital multi-meter, the emergency sunroof wrench, a jack, a spare coil pack (damn things go out at odd intervals and you run on 3 cylinders) and now the CPS, just in case I need to make a quick roadside fix. Once you get past 100K miles, you better keep some tools with you.....
I'm not selling any parts. You can order online, or from Rbrenton.

Dammit, the passenger side wiper, the wierd sideways curved one, they wrote and told me the pn changed (which I think is BS)
from A2038200145 R Wiper Blade to 2038201745 AND COST $27.03EA
vs. the like 12 bucks it was supposed to cost.
I replied and said fuggetaboutit!!!
But they sent me one anyway....basturds.
My 1st time ordering from parts.com.
We'll see how it goes. I didn't get a tracking #, instead of the # it just
says "drop ship". Great. Well, it will be interesting.
I don't know how an online parts site can sell OEM parts for all cars.
But all the other dealers except ft. lauderdale didn't renew their
Trademotion subscriptions, and the same parts total from them were gonna cost a lot more.
Update- EPC says 2038201745 is not even a valid pn, and A2038200145 is still valid.
Now they don't have a ph # on the site....dammit.
Cross my fingers.....

Mine should be getting her's this saturday, 10k fogs & highs, 05 smoked tails, and the in-dash. in 2 weeks i should be finished with the led cluster
