PLEASE HELP - What do this cable attach to?
I was running rca cables for my aftermarket stereo down the passenger side door sills. After running the cables I noticed the cable in the picture loose. I am not sure if I accidentially disconnected this cable or if it was already disconnected. I looked around but couldn't find a cable for it to connect to. I am not sure if this is related but now I have a error that says "Restraint System - Visit Work Shop - SRS". I don't think that error started happening until I took out the head unit today. Not sure if its related to the cable. Thanks for any help.

i believe that is supposed to be disconnected, depending on what options your car has.
the SRS error is most likely due to the fact you had the key in the ignition when you disconnected/re-connected the battery.

Thanks for the help. I didn't disconnect the battery. How would I get the SRS error to clear out? I am just going to assume that the cable doesn't connect to anything since I don't see anywhere for it to go.

Did you disconnect the switch row on the dash and have a key in at the same time at all? (Switch row with the heated seats, door locks, etc).
If you did that, you set the code because the passenger airbag LED was disconnected.
If you did that, you set the code because the passenger airbag LED was disconnected.

I did disconnect the switch row and had to turn the ignition key on to put the car in drive so I could pull the dash out. So that must be why I got the error code. Is there a way for me to clear it out or do I have to take it in now? Thanks for the help. I thought I had screwed something major up! lol Maybe it will go away after I hook the switch row back up. I still have the dash out.

always keep take the key out, and keep it out, when doing any kind of electrical work. i've never had the SRS error, but from what i have read on here, i think the only way to get it off is by taking it to the stealer or someone who has Star.

Installed a double din Lanzar DVD\Video head unit, MB Quarts in all the doors, a 10" sub and 5 channel 750watt amp. I was able to tap into my amp wiring for the door speakers and power cable. Turned out pretty good! Took me 3 days for the entire install.
