HIDs for coupe

I just had Philips HID kit installed on my coupe.. it looks great.

But anyone have an idea on what to use to seal up the old plastic cap in the back?

Silicone sealant, trim adhesive, etc.

I got mine for 300 installed (used ) from a friend.

I measured the hole.. its 2'' in diameter.... i guess the best bet is using silicone to seal it..but then i can get into the housing anymore...

unless i dont seal the hole around the wires.. but that small little gap might let water in??

im not sure... im just gonna go to home depot and look for some rubber plugs or something

I thought you were talking about a small hole you drilled in the cap to run some wires through.

Ya.. well that small hole is 2'' hehe

The HID kits have their own Bulb and socket. THe wire is small.. but the bulb socket isnt.. so u need a larger hole to get that through. Im sure a 1.5'' hole would have worked..but i just happened to have a 2'' hole saw but

Wasn't it a plug-& play set-up??

Hey Vadim....

How do you like your HID4LESS stage I kit on your car.

I just ordered a stage II kit for my other car, and was considering a stage I for my C240

Let me know...
thanks

my set up was not plug and play.. but it was simple.

The Bulb and bulb socket did not fit the 2 screw twist socket of the halogen lamp. I had to make a clip so teh bulb was in place. The i just cut the wire to the halogen bulb.. and plugged that into the ballast wires.... then ur done.

I mounted my ballast with velcro on the fendor well (again ghetto)
but the velcro is strong
