Oops, the TSB number I posted is actually just the TSB date code.
The correct TSB number appears to be:
P-46_20-16 for 6 cylinder W203s
P-46_20-10 for 4 cylinder W203s

Mu - I can see all the pictures. It's the high pressure pipe or the pipe flange that generally fails. Try coming in to the forum via mbworld.org & maybe you will be able to see. Check the banjo bolt but I've never seen it leak from there. Always the other end.

Hopefully this is the part, thanks a lot Glyn!
If it isn't too bothersome, could you tell me exactly which number in the diagram is the part I'm gonna be purchasing? I can't tell for isht, hah.

Hello, sorry for the delay but I have been so busy with other things.
changing the hose fixed my problem.
removing the hose is simple.
1-remove the plastic cover under the engine
2-remove the metal bracket that covers the steering rack like 6'ish star scews i think.
3-losen up the steering rack with 4 bolts (no need to remove the rack just losen it up by removing the bolts.
follow the two hoses that lead into the steering rack. the one i had the issue with was coming from the steering fluid tank up top.
once you locate the hose where it meets the rack, look for a star screw, i had to get a flexable rachet to get to it. once the screw is removed, a bracket plates holds in the two hoses attached to the rack.
** stop when u get to the metal plate turn the car on and look to see where the leak is coming from. get some eye protection and a flashlight. MAKE SURE THE CAR IS IN A GOOD STAND NOT ON JACKS. have someone move the steering wheel. keep your hands free of any moving parts while th ecar is running.
safety first.

Part 60 in diagram is shown in EPC as N 000000 0003853 SCREW HOSE TO STEERING M8X16

I too have found that my pressure hose #20 is leaking at the rack(at #32). I have 2 concerns...
1- my haynes manual has more steps to get to the hose fittings....can I just quickly remove the steering rack retaining plate to gain access to the pressure hose to remove it? I am not sure what happens to the rack when you just remove the retaining plate.
2- in the diagram, it looks to show washers(rubber?) for #40, 30, 32....do I need to get these at the dealer while I order my pressure hose online?

Replaced o-rings and thrust washer - still leaks
I have had the same problem. I replaced the o-ring and thrust washer the leak came back when I finished the quick test drive. The weird thing is the white thrust washer came pre-cut and it did not fit on the metal nipple nicely. there was a gap when you fit it on there. Can some tell me how to properly install that thrust washer? I already used up on can of steering fuid. I am pretty sure its not the hose shown in the previous posts. Thanks!

Thanks.
Oops, I think I need to read the entire thread first...

did you finally fix the leak? did you have to replace the thrust washer or any other parts? Thanks.

Yes it was finally fixed. The issue was that I went to the dealer and I told them the problem, and was told to replace the oring and thrust washer. The other issue was that when I removed the hose from the steering rack, there was a groove with an O-Ring only, the thrust washer would not fit at all, so I got confused. The groove was wide enough for just the new O-Ring. So i put it back on with just the new O-Ring and I still had a leak. So then I went to my trusted parts vender and order a replacement High pressure steering pump hose and when I got it, it had the O-Ring and thrust washer Pre - installed and guess what, the groove that they sat in was a little wider. This one I donot understand. The TSB published instructed to install the new High pressure hose with the Oring and thrust washer? What year C240's did they discover this anomaly? Will it leak again? The important thing, no more leak, for now. If you have the same problem, Order a new hose and just replace it. (02 C240) refererence the diagrams above and picture.

Thanks for the heads-up Panzafio.
I still haven't determined the exact source of the leak. I think it's somewhere higher up because the belt gets really smudged.
Do you happen to have the part # for the hose with the built in washer? I just want to make sure I get the correct hose if that's what I need to replace, I plan to jack it up this weekend and take a closer look..

Power steering hose leak
Look at Glyn M Ruck's 10 25 2010 Post above. its the hose in the picture and Part number is below it. Make sure its a mercedes part. I have had to replace motor mounts twice because I did not use original parts.
Someone else said clean the area in question first and see if you see where the leak is from. Simple green worked well for me.
I only loosened the steering rack and moved it a bit to get to the bolt that keeps the plate in place that keeps the hoses fastened on the rack.
If you have 1/4 rachet, extension, and u joint adapter you can get to it pretty good.
I will keep checking back if you have any questions.
