V6 in Coupé? AMG? maybe...
well, while devouring the current Mercedes Enthusiast mag, i see this small paragraph in the article reviewing the coupé 220CDI, page 14:
<b>The C-Class Sport Coupé was launched with four-cylinder engines, but Mercedes promises V6 motors for next year with C240 (2.6 litre), C320 and C32 AMG versions. But for now, potential buyers have to make do with the 129bhp C180, 163bhp C200 Kompressor, 197bhp C230 Kompressor and the 143 bhp C220 CDi turbo-diesel models.</b>
very interesting, but also sort of unconfirmed...

...it's a marketing tease...
They're looking for reaction and will probably 'test market' in Europe first. Sort of like the iWalk fiasco in the computer industry. Originally it was a spoof by Apple created to draw attention away from the new iMac. Now, there's a real demand for a product that they never intended to manufacture.
