Here's some pics of my Kleemann headers installed about a year ago. The dyno i had done showed an increase but not what i expected. Altogether not a bad bit of kit, and the sound is awesome. If you need any more help or have questions please ask.

Hmm thats about a 10whp gain right? Not sure what the base horsepower is on a C200. Do you have any sound clips?

You pays for what you get. I was dissapointed to say the least having been quoted 15-20bhp increase although a very good and well made product, and if installed properly no errors. The C200K standard bhp is 163, so around 10bhp increase. However, that was a year ago, and i have since had a full C55 exhaust conversion done, so the bhp might have increased but i doubt by very much. No i don't do video sound clips as no 2 cars ever sound the same. The sound is loud so you will need to customize an exhaust system to suit yourself.

Really that dyno chart doesn't serve much of a purpose because there is no comparison of stock vs with header. No two dyno's will read the same so that chart is just numbers in the air. You don't happen to have before and after track times do you??

I will also mention that peak hp gains only tell a small part of the story. What's the power difference under the curve??

Cory...like most vendors that came here and make claims, the guys here will want proof. It's sounds like you got a nice product there, can you please post the dyno reports to back up your claim of 20hp gain. It's a good price for what seems like a quality part.I wish there were more options out there for the m271.It's a good little car,but too bad nobody has come up with an affordable way to gain around 30-50HP.GL with the product.

The standard BHP on C200K is 163bhp - why pay for something i already know. The dyno was done same day as the Kleemann header was fitted thats the figure that came out. As you say no 2 dyno's will read the same neither will the same 2 cars. The 10 bhp increase was the figure on the day, but as i said in my earlier post i have since done a C55 full exhaust conversion, and although the car feels and handles better i am not prepared to spend any more money on dyno's just to prove what i already know.

Kleemann products are excellent in terms of quality but as to the quoted performance figures for the header it is highly unlikely (IMHO) that a C200K will realise a 15-20bhp increase, although C230 might fair better.

I don't wish to slag off Kleemann, as i said above excellent products, but just wanted to give you my honest opinion for those interested in spending thier well earned cash only to feel dissapointed with the end result not being what they expected.

Hi Tudu, bu the dyno you showed, that are the rear wheel HP's or the HP on the crank??

You just said that no two dyno's will read the same so why do you think that that dyno would have said 163hp if you ran it when it was stock?? You don't know the correction factors that they used the day you dyno'd your car. You can put correction factors in that will make a 200hp car read 1000hp...That is why it is necessary to run the same car on the same dyno preferably on the same day. Dyno's have to be calibrated and a lot of shops are very lax on doing it...

That is why I say it is a number in the air and something that ricers like to quote. I have seen cars dyno at 900+ hp and run 11's at the track. Sorry, that's not 900hp. Dyno's are good for comparing before and after, that is it.

If you had consistent track times before and picked up time after, that would be undeniable proof that this increased power, also.

Cory just emailed me the dyno results of m271 with and without headers. Results are in CRANK HP not WHEEL HP.

thanks for posting!.... hmm looks like delivers what he claims. is it worth 1000 plus install (so about $1300) for 20 hp (about 10% gain from stock by paying about 10% the value of my car)? hmm... i would do it for 30-40 hp without hesitation...

Interesting. It gained 5-10%hp throughout the entire [usable] rpm range, not bad at all. They really smoothed out the upper rpm variance (harmonics??). If I wasn't limited by stock class rules I would probably buy a set and get a custom tune to really take advantage of it.

Thanks for posting!
