Untouched spots on windshield

I'm out of ideas on this one. The drivers side wipe wiper blade leaves an area about 8 inches long by 5 inches high untouched as it sweeps up to clear the windshield. I've searched the forum for a similar thread, put on new Aeros and checked and re-checked the blades sizes, direction, etc.

It seems that the arc of the blade lifts up in the center as it gets about half way through its sweep. I should mention that this happens when the car is stopped or moving.

I can't think of what it could be. There are no obstructions and the wiper arm has never been bent or stressed to my knowledge (I've had the car since new).

The only thing I can think of is that the spring that tensions the arm has gotten weak...but that seems a little far-fetched to me. I just want to be able to see without that dry, dirty untouched area just to the left of my field of vision.

Has anyone else had this problem? Maybe I just need to go back to flat blades.

I had the same problem but only when it gets really cold. Remove the wiper and bend it back on itself, reversing the arch. Just grab both ends and bow them back towards each other. The wiper is bowed and you need to take some of the bow out. Take out too much and it will only wipe the center and not the edges so it is kind of a hit or miss. I got my second replacement set to work great all the time by removing some of the bow in the blade. Good luck, Greg

I had the same problem when I did the aero retrofit, but found out I put the blades in backwards. Ai ><

Try tightening the driver's side arm. 13mm hex socket. And yeah, bending the blades should help too.
