funny...

Though I don't have an MB, a similar scenario occured with my current car.

After having warranty work peformed on the transmission I hadn't even driven off of the dealer's lot when I had to head back due to a new strange grinding noise. Two weeks later I get the car back, different paperwork, though apparently indicating (mostly) the same parts. No grinding, but this time the entire transmission is new but the paperwork doesn't indicate it. I knew by the condition of the case. Very strange.

I bought from the dealer who had a car I could drive, I didn't buy that car, but they had one I could test drive at least. The week I bought mine another guy was looking for a 6 spd car as well, so there is some demand for sure.
The same dealers who tell you no one wants a manual are the same ones who tell you that there's no trade in on a manual, and the same ones who tell you that no one wants a hatchback. *******s.

I had a similar experience with my first salesman...he no longer works at the MB dealer...he's pushing automatics over in Lexus land now. Real shmuck of a fellow.

The S2000 made #3 on the lemon law claims list last year...amazing considering how few are built. Its so refreshing hearing the 6Speed talked about with some sense of perspective for once.
