great grill.. i like the idea of just CF(ing) the chrome part.. but i think you should have stayed with your original tails and tinted them (to match ur CF theme)

I used gloss. I agree, flat black would have been better, I dont like the shine of the glossy black.

^ ya mine was done before i got it, so i cant really comment about possible fading. but if you are looking for a clean look for your back end it really helps...

i am trying to black out the star in the back, that is my next project.

but your car is sick bro, i like what you have done.

Anyone know a good tinting shop in PHX or Scottsdale? Im thinking of tinting my window (too bad coz I really like the blue glass but AZ heat sucks).

What do you think is the best out of the following tints:
Formula one ceramic
Llumar
Huper optik
carbon tints

I had Formula 1 before on my BMW, great stuff.
right now i have suntek, same warrant and jsut as good. all the 150+ tint will be good, jsut dont get the dyed **** that will fade after a few years.

Just got my car tinted this afternoon. I got the Formula 1 pinnacle series 35% for the doors and 15% rear window. I think the blue dye on the glass gave the tint a bluish black look. Noticed a huge difference regarding heat deflection right away. Pinnacle series is totally worth the money.

Cf rear diffusers are for w203's with quad exhaust setups and since I dont have one, I think that will look silly on my car.

Honestly, I think im done modding (if there's such a thing). I dont want to invest a lot of money on a car that will be replaced soon. Ill just enjoy her till the extended warranty expires.

I thought never in a million years will this ever happen to me. I guess there's always a first time for everything.

Called MB roadside assistance, they were very courteous when they heard the problem was an empty gas tank. lol

The response time would have been 45 mins so I just canceled and called one of my friends to come rescue me..his only condition: a picture of my stupidity for his Facebook.

My C230k's fuel pump went out and I had to call roadside once... I was so worried about being a goober that ran out of gas that I went and bought a gallon and a storage can just to test it out b4 the tow truck go there. Needless to say, I was trying to save myself from one of those easy "well there's ur problem!" moments. lol.

I knew right away it was the gas problem because my car was sputtering, good thing I was able to exit the busy freeway and save myself the additional embarrassment. Charge it to experience.

yeah if i ever ran out of gas i would abandon my car and walk. way less embarrassing then calling a friend or family member or Mercedes to bring me gas lol. I love it when people run out of gas when they have working gas gauges

When you are trying to close a house when the deadline is just 4 days away and the FHA underwriter haven't seen the docs yet...your mind will also wander around like everything is blurred. lol (distracted driving did not happen here btw)

Just wondering, if you call MB roadside assistance, do you have to pay for the gas they are going to bring to you and do you guys tip them?

lol its ok man it happens the all of us well hopefully not me because i will no longer have a car

My understanding is that they will bring you enough gas to get the the closest filling station for free. i recommend tipping the guys because at least the guy that came to put in my battery was really nice and spent way more time showing me things on my car and stuff like that. i think i gave him $10 or something like that. PS i am the worlds greatest tipper so i am a bad example lol i no i cannot do a waiter job so i help the guys out 20-25% tips are a regular for me unless you drop a milkshake on me lol she was hot so still got 15% LOL i am pathetic

I got myself 4 feet of the 3m Dinoc CF vinyl so I wrapped up some stuff.

Have to re-wrap everything because of oxidation and discoloring of my previous cf vinyl wraps:

Discoloration of my old vinyl wrap from original color gray to ugly brown

3m cf wrapped grille slats - 20 mins

side mirrors - 45 mins

door pillars - 45 mins

rear emblem (i didnt remove the emblem for fear of snapping it so i have to wrap it while its on the car) - 10 mins

key fob - 5 mins

i have leftover material so i decided to wrap my laptop

The vinyl is very easy to work with, stretches easily using a blowdryer. Its very forgiving even if it gets wrinkled or when you have to peel it off again (thank god because i was doing this only by myself, the side mirror was what gave me a hard time with the constant heating and stretching on the curves).

Hopefully this vinyl wont have discoloration and wont peel. I heard that vinyls tend to peel when they shrink back to size after heating it up and stretching it during application.
