Blown Speaker replacement?

Blown Speaker replacement?
I have a blown speaker in my coupe.
Each of the 2 doors has 2 speakers, I need the one
in the rear of the door.
I see it's about 100 bucks from MB for the one damn speaker.
Anyone replace their stock speakers? Can someone tell me the size I need, and a good source for a replacement.
I'm not looking to upgrade per se, just replace the existing blown speaker,
and it should not cost 100 bucks.

I was able to find the rear speaker for my 05 sedan (not bose garbage) through a dealers online tredemotion site (sorry I cant remember which one) for about $35. You need to find the right part number or it does come up as a $100 speaker which is wrong. Someone argued this with me and I posted the link to the speaker im talking about in a previous thread if you do a search.

I was wondering the same thing. I dont have a blown speaker but i just want to upgrade my speakers to something a little louder. I already have a system like a 12" L7, EQ, amp and the wires are already ran to the doors for the speakers. I kept the HU stock and im wondering what size of speakers i have. I have an 07 C230. crutchfield saids you have 6.5'' front speakers like the sedan. i think you should state whether you have the bose system or not.
You can get some excellent aftermarket speakers for both sides for $100.
couple of things, if you don't have the bose system, you can probably just get aftermarket speakers and just tap the wires into the new speakers. If you do have the bose system you might run into some issues. I heard the that the bose system uses less current then conventional stereo systems.
Your other option is just to buy one of the oem speakers used on the forums. I would let you have mine, but i think i tossed the bose speakers somewhere since they were complete garbage. If you have the bose system let me know...i'll see if i can dig them up.
