...get 4 million "new post to x thread" emails, all late, many duplicate? Or am I the lucky one?

I just got one for a thread last updated nine days ago. And I do get multiple e-mails for one reply to a thread.

No - I like being notified, just not 4 million times, and not for messages that I've already read 7 or 8 times.

click on "user cp" at the top of the page, then "edit profile" look about half way down and then click "no" on "use 'email notification' by default?"

I was off the board for three hours this evening. When I got back on the computer and checked the e-mail, I had 104 new post to thread e-mails. Just a wee bit excessive.

That approximates my total for yesterday. I've since unsubscribed from "the thread that shall be nameless", which seems to help. It looks as if the BB software has problems only with certain threads.
