Clear Bumper lights from MBnz

Anyone try the clear front fender/bumper lights from mbnz org? Are they quality or junk?

Probably the only mod I will do on this car. I think the white will go well with my white C7 C230 coupe.

They look like they would be decent but they have been out of stock forever.

Several months ago I dropped an e-mail to one of the moderators there and he said he'd let me know when they were re-stocked. Haven't heard anything...

I agree. I think they would look great on a white car. Or brilliant silver. I'm considering them for my desert silver, too. In this case, this mod complements the standard clear look of the headlights and fogs on any of the lighter colors, and with proper amber bulbs, would retain their legal status.

Just call me MB-BOY Racer...

Gees, it's been almost two hours. I don't know what's worse. Waiting 6-months for MBNZ to get these mods in stock, or waiting for one of you guys to bust my chops for liking them.

you expecting blue's pejorative remarks? heheh... clear bumper lights are not the straw man type of argument so its a lot harder to bust on. either that or people are starting to respect each other (looks out the window for flying pigs )

personally, i'm a little mixed. i like the orange oem lights b/c they add a bit of color to that expanse of orion. but i've seen the euro versions that don't have the lights (maybe US DOT required?) and i like that clean look too. the clear ones that glow amber look ok too.

i would buy them, i personally think the corner lights are outta place.... the lights on the side view are clear with amber, why not the corners???

young, I agree, on the darker colors the clear corners give a "hole" appearance, and that the amber lenses at least look the part and add color. Actually, I think the stock ambers complement my desert silver as both have some yellow in them, so I'm not entirely convinced I will buy myself.

The mods that assault my senses the most are those that are questionably legal. the euro versions (no corners at all) are in fact not DOT legal in the U.S., since 1967, so I don't understand why people press the envelope and ask for trouble.

I drove to work two days ago behing an Accord with the typical clear lens taillight assemblies, but he also was running WHITE turn signals (instead of red or amber) AND WHITE stoplights, not red. That's just wrong, not to mention unsafe and quite illegal. But, that's just my op, to which most police would agree.
