2005 C230 Lower Grille Installation - Can I do it myself??
Hi there,
I'm picking up the lower mesh grille that goes around the passenger side fog light tomorrow, can I install this myself?

It doesn't look like it would be that difficult and the dealer wants $175.00 for labor.

Any feedback would be helpful!!

I can't imagine it would be that hard.
175 is one hour of labor at a dealer.
Maybe it'll take you 2 if you aren't sure what you're doing.
Or maybe 1 hour is the minimum and it will only take 15 minutes.

$175!!! wtf!?? that piece just pops on and off. Its very easy to do. Ive had to change mine a couple times...

That's kinda what I thought, it looks like it just clips/slides right in. I think I'll try it :-) Thanks!

Yes, yet does it take an hour to get at? Don't you have to remove a wheel, the access panel, the fog light assembly, then finally have access to it?

Take a small screwdriver and pop it off(carefully) from the front...no need to remove the wheel or anything.

...Just be careful not to break the clips!
