Frosty Xenon question(s)
i know they are the frosty ones(which defeats the whole "looks" factor), but were the frosty ones bix or just single beam HID's?
will these flicker or have any issues with my c240 non xenon system?
what is the average price for a set such as these?

I saw an 01 C320 recently that had these OEM frosted D2R HIDs.. when the woman turned the car on, they moved down then up - so they were also self-leveling.
As far as errors, you'd need to use DAS to set xenon=present or you will get bulb-out warnings. These are 35w versus your car's 55w halogens so the computer will detect that.

hrmm.. so at around $300 would these be worth it to pick up?
also would a clear ebay lens fit in place of the frosty if i do decide the look is too, well.. frosty?
trying to get the best look and performance for my buck, and i do not have the extra 1k to fork out for the bix, unless my loan mod goes thru. heh

Out Of Control!!
The $300 is worth it only if you feel that the light output from your current halogens is insufficient. Otherwise, it's the same old ugly frosties, putting out more light that you may not really need. (and you can get an HID kit for less than $300 that will not require recoding)
I'm the opposite of you; picked up Advans' clear headlights because I wasn't too concerned about light output (north Joisey is lit well enough from the overcrowded houses without even having headlights), but did like how they look much better than the frosties.
So it's up to you.

$300 is a good deal for the OEM system, but you can't replace the lense with a clear one. The frosted lens does serve a purpose, it shapes the beam. Behind the frosted lens doesn't look like the 2005 and up models. It's completely different.
