2005+ mic
Has anyone here tried to tap into the stock mic to use with aftermarket unit that comes with bluettoth? I have a pioneer avic f series and want to see if I can use the stock mic vs the mic that came with the unit.

The 2005 and up mic is different from past years and consists of an array of microphones which are mounted inside the rear view mirror. I'm not sure how they're wired up or what the impedance is, but with those two pieces of info you can figure it out. You could always take the mirror apart (there is a thread showing how) and figure out the microphone specs with a multimeter.
