Question Engine Bay Cleaning

Hi all,

I would like to try and clean my engine bay tomorrow and need some advise on what I should not let get wet.

Now I am not to familiar with the MB engine and have heard that the air intake and some other wiring needs to be covered but am not quite sure where these are located?

Thanks in advance for the help.

PS. I would like to just try and wipe down everything with some dishwash liquid or Car Wash. Is this ok?
