Mike, the RGB connectors ARE available; I got that mail about a week ago, but since I am still in the states and not back home yet, you have to have a little more patient...please don't all start mailing me about this; I have a hard enough time to get my mails answered anyway...I will post the info on mbworld as soon as I have it.
I want to install one RGB connector myself first to see what it does and what I will be shipping out.
The RGB connector only allows you to connect either a DVD player or PS2...video and camera use a different kind of signal which needs to be converted first (as I have been told).
The megacomm connector that does function with DVD and video is not much cheaper then an OEM MB TV tuner would be...
As far as the car in motion goes it is a parking brake/speedsignal kind of safety feature that you cannot bypass (it is all in the CANBUS)...the current stardiagnost software doesn't allow the MB dealerships any longer to change the motion safety feature so the settings can only be changed by those who saved the old stardiagnose software in order to do things like this (some people in germany are still able to reprogramm that motion feature).
The standard setup of every single comand is a safety warning as soon as you start to drive...yours will have that as well Mike.
Some comand freaks are trying to hack the comand's software in order to be able to reprogramm this motion feature by themselves...I think they will succeed but it might take a while...

Just to warn those who might be interested...the R230 comand ONLY fits in the R230...not in any of the other MB models...not even in the W203, W209 or W463 due to a different shaped front of the comand itself.
This to prevent more people from asking me per mail whether it will fit or not...

Completed installs?
I am very interested in contacting Steve to have a Command retrofitted in my C32. Can anyone that has recently had a completed installation comment on the install? I would be very interested their opinions and how well the European units work in So CA. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

hi steve, can you tell me in which part of california you will be visited at the end of april? i can drive from seattle to SF if you can installed it in SF? i want the euro comand and bi-xenon installed in my car can you please mail me the price for both of the item installed? notice that i don't have xenon option in my car, can you deal with the ecu unit in my car to change the xenon option to xenon-present? i will be glad if you can deal with the ECU. i e-mailed you before
