Don't have a DIY - will let you know if I find one
You are talking about replacement of item 10 - drive shaft with CV joints?
Presume the CV joints are shot? If so have you got a quote to rebuild the CV joints from an Indy?

I was told that i needed to replace the whole axle? both CV boots (upper and lower boots on the axle) were ripped on the right... the grease came out and i assume it ruined the item 10 you are talking about.... i didn't know they could be rebuilt? how do i obtain a quote from Indy? thanks for all of your help.

You need to find a shop that specializes in CV joint rebuilds. Hopefully a member can help. In South Africa we can heve them rebuilt so I'm sure it can be done in the US. Here it saves a lot of money. Your labor rates are higher so ??? I don't know there.
